Re: Vancouver Eve

Hi Joy, I am sorry that I did not responded to your e-mail as I have not been on the board lately. I am scheduled for surgery in the next few weeks and, frankly, I am scared. I will have an illiac node removed and it will be POG tested. The surgeon has given me some very good news; the surgery will ...

Re: POG TEST AND UPDATE

Thanks CRguy for posting the POG testing I am receiving to Nicoles posting. It is such an interesting time in cancer treatment. I was glad that our Onc. offered the test to me since all I have is the one iliac node that is too close to an artery to have it radiated again. Our Onc. feels that to go a...

POG TEST AND UPDATE

I will be having surgery on a lymph node as soon as it is a bit bigger. The node had been treated by sterotactic radiation 16 months ago, but the node is growing ever so slightly. The Onc. has presented my case to the Board and at the same time of the surgery I will be given the POG test. I should h...

I am still in shock. I can"t believe our Belle has left us so soon. I am sad for her husband, two children and her family for the loss they have suffered.

Re: "Curative intent" chemotherapy at Stage IVa, possible?

I am confused about the staging. I was informed by the Onc. I have now that a spread to the liver is a stage 4A, while a spread to the lungs is a 4B. Can anyone give the answer as to why the Onc. informed me of this staging method?

Re: RFA vs SBRT

I chose SBRT three times. I did not request RFA. I have not had any known side effects to this date. I believe whatever works for you, should be your choice. My Onc. always allows me to have my input.

Re: 5 yr survival rate

Everything that has been posted makes sense to me. I do not believe in stats and never have. They are only numbers that are gathered and do not relate to every case that is DX. I am going to be 8 years out in May.
