Clinical Trials chemo vs immunotherapy

There are so many trials out there, how do you decide which one to try? Did you talk to your oncologist or make the decision yourself?
If your currently stable, do you wait until chemo stops working or try a trial now?

HIPEC & signet cell features

I know there are older threads on this topic, however wanted to see if there is anyone else out there who has signet cell features and has had HIPEC? If you did, where was this done at and how are you today?

CT & MRI

DH has CT with contrast & MRI scans scheduled for Tuesday. Doc office called today to say insurance would not approve MRI only CT scans.

Doc felt this was ok to provide a baseline and push for MRI if need be.

Is having a CT alone ok? What is difference?

Good luck! When is your appt? We just saw him yesterday.

Please go to UPenn if you are in Philly. Doctor Loaiza-Bonilla is amazing and his team.

HIPEC question

For those who have had HIPEC did you also have a laparoscopic exam prior to becoming a HIPEC candidate? I wasn't sure if this is common or if the surgeons go off of scans.

Re: What to do -- husband getting obstructions

My DH had same issue. He just got a g tube last Friday. Feels immediate relief. They also gave him a picc line in arm for TPN nutrition. Both are temporary until nodules shrink.

Reflux

Anyone else have really bad reflux. You feel like insides are burning when anything goes down or comes up. If so, what do you do or take? Any recommendations for food/drinks?
Is this part of the disease or post op from an ilesostomy?

Re: Caregivers

Thanks everyone for your input. It's been a hell of a week since I posted. DH had scans on Monday and we received results today, turns out he has a small bowel blockage. Of course, I freaked and contacted his surgeon right away thinking we need to go to ER. His surgeon said as long as he isn't vomit...
