Wonderful news Leon, so nice to hear this sort of thing.

Re: Been sent for urgent referral

No worries mate, it'll kick in! And then you'd best hope 'driving' was an auto-correct error for 'drinking' or I fear for the state of your car... Joking aside it does take a while and I never found it as bad as some people clearly did. Take care and good luck for tomorrow, best wishes for...

Re: Been sent for urgent referral

Hi Garfield, hope you get some anwers soon. As many can attest to the initial waiting is often the worst part as you can't effectively make a plan to deal with the unknown! I genuinely hope you find out that you don't have CRC but if you do and need support this forum is great, very informative, and...

Re: Another question (sorry to be so high-maintenance this week!)

Hi AnnClare,

I also got this past folfox cycle 6.

if you google 'Dr. Schmidts Jala Neti pot' that fixed things for me, as well as helping ward off airborne infections while immunity was low...

Re: Had my 1st colonoscopy today - found a 5 cm mass & I'm terrified

Hi AnnClare, I also had my port put in on the left so the seatbelt wouldn't cross it when I drive (I'm in the UK). I had the exact same pain you describe on the opposite side of the port; wierd huh? No-one really paid me any notice when I described it, but good news is it went away on it's own over ...

Re: Checking in.....STILL here, question for NED'ers

Hi All, This booklet https://www.beatingbowelcancer.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/PsychologicalEffectsofCancer-MikeOsborn-booklet.pdf covers a lot of the points raised in this thread. While it doesn't contain any earth-shattering 'silver bullet' type advice, I found it well written and useful witho...

Re: Enlarged spleen

Hi Annemiek,

big congratulations; happy news on the clean scan!

My cancer 'trip' is so far almost identical to your in terms of dates and disease progression, I had my scan last week and am still waiting for the results, and I really hope to follow you.

Cheers,

Micah

Re: Curcumin Dose

Oops! Just saw that your original question was probably stimulated by the same link I posted... FWIW I took 1-2g/day of the Sabinsa C3 Curcumin tablets pretty much* throughout my 12 rounds of FOLFOX. No idea if it helped, but I figure at worst it was a fairly inexpensive 'lucky charm' which helped m...

Re: Curcumin Dose

Hi Mark,

there is clinical trial of curcumin supplementation to folfox chemo ongoing in the UK, they are using 2g orally as the maximum dose.

You can read about it here:

Re: ct-scan after surgery?

Hi Joanna, I was offered and accepted a scan during this time interval. My histology was not really similar to yours; 6/29 nodes positive with LVI confirmed; with the surgeon relatively certain he 'got it all'. More relevant though, there was a tiny (3mm) unknown spot on my lung observed at pre-op s...
