Re: Anyone with Kras G12V or G12D, NIH trial needs you
I will think about it after I survive reversal. I'm not in any kind of shape for traveling these days. The reason I ask about C*08:02 is that the odds for A*11:01 are not that good in general but C*08:02 is around 30% for Asians.
Well according to Dr. Yang, A*11:01 has a ...

Re: Anyone with Kras G12V or G12D, NIH trial needs you

What would be the purpose for people who are NED? Is this to harvest cells that might be usable for treating other people? Do they have a way to get your Alleles? Also, do they take C*8:02 along with A*11:01? So many questions... I don't know all of the NIH trials, but I think they have some trials...

Re: Anyone with Kras G12V or G12D, NIH trial needs you

I'm G12D, but currently have no detectable masses. It seems that they want people with solid tumors so that they can evaluate the effectiveness. Or am I reading it wrong? I think you are right about that. The use RECIST criteria to evaluate effectiveness, so they need four to six tumors to remain a...

Re: Anyone with Kras G12V or G12D, NIH trial needs you

Hello: Thank you for sharing! Can you explain what you mean about no surgery required? I applied for this trial over a year ago and was told that I needed a solid tumor to harvest in order to participate. (At that time I only had malignant lymph nodes.) Is having a 1cm tumor that is easy to harvest...

Anyone with Kras G12V or G12D, NIH trial needs you

So, Sleen and I were at NIH yesterday for follow-up. She is cancer free. That's right, cancer free. Three years after TIL treatment and no cancer. But in our conversation with Dr. Yang, we found out that they are having virtually no applications for the engineered T-cell receptor trial for Kras G12V...

Re: Signs of travelling to lungs?

Over a month ago i was diagnosed with stage 4 that had gone to my liver. I had a ct scan and biopsy to determine this. I have been anxiously awaiting the Pet which is this saturday and wont see the dr for results until a week later. Would my abdominal ct scan have shown my lungs? Im so terrified it...

This is terrific news Teri. Grow cells grow. I hope they are highly reactive cells that wipe out all of the cancer cells. GO Lymphocytes!

Re: New TIL Trial NIH/NCI NCT03412877

Thanks for posting about this sdino Can anyone explain how this differs from the trial that Sleen had success on? Sleen’s trial used the actual, cloned cells from her tumor to infuse back into her body to go after the tumors. In this new trial, the cells from a tumor are removed and tested for reac...

Re: Can someone who is stage 4 really end stage still benifit from Keytruda?

Hello, I am a new member. My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 Colon Cancer 5 weeks ago from out of no where. We met with a specialist at Dana Farber. He told us that a very small percentage of people 3-4% have a genetic mutation that have responded very well to an Immunotherapy called Keytruda. He...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

Steps and timelines after TIL harvest Surgery: 1. After TIL Harvest Surgery = 2 to 3 weeks if cells are growing by the billions. 2. After TIL Harvest Surgery = 2 to 3 months in lab to see if TILs are reactive. - This is where we are at. 3. TIL infusion @ NCI = 4 to 6 week stay in hospital. I just w...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

I believe that the NCI trial will work with either KRAS G12D or G12V but this is something that you should verify with them. One major note: the other trial that was only for KRAS G12D required HLA-C*0802 . I would like to clarify a couple of things Mike said here. NIH is currently recruiting for t...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

:D Very good news today! The tumor in my lungs has remained the same size but is fading. The Dr thinks it may now be scar tissue left by the dead cancer cell. I will come back in 3 months for test. I am so glad that the Lord brought me here for treatment. Thank you to all of you that have kept me i...

Re: KRAS G12V Mutation Question

Hi Sharing Hope, You are right that chemo options are limited in Kras mutations. It would be helpful to have more of your story. Please add a signature so we know something about your treatment history. In general, if you are stage III or IV, you would need to get initial treatment with standard the...
