Re: Teri's TIL trial at NCI

This is terrific news Teri. Grow cells grow. I hope they are highly reactive cells that wipe out all of the cancer cells. GO Lymphocytes!

Re: New TIL Trial NIH/NCI NCT03412877

Thanks for posting about this sdino Can anyone explain how this differs from the trial that Sleen had success on? Sleen’s trial used the actual, cloned cells from her tumor to infuse back into her body to go after the tumors. In this new trial, the cells from a tumor are removed and tested for reac...

Re: Can someone who is stage 4 really end stage still benifit from Keytruda?

Hello, I am a new member. My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 Colon Cancer 5 weeks ago from out of no where. We met with a specialist at Dana Farber. He told us that a very small percentage of people 3-4% have a genetic mutation that have responded very well to an Immunotherapy called Keytruda. He...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

Steps and timelines after TIL harvest Surgery: 1. After TIL Harvest Surgery = 2 to 3 weeks if cells are growing by the billions. 2. After TIL Harvest Surgery = 2 to 3 months in lab to see if TILs are reactive. - This is where we are at. 3. TIL infusion @ NCI = 4 to 6 week stay in hospital. I just w...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

I believe that the NCI trial will work with either KRAS G12D or G12V but this is something that you should verify with them. One major note: the other trial that was only for KRAS G12D required HLA-C*0802 . I would like to clarify a couple of things Mike said here. NIH is currently recruiting for t...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

:D Very good news today! The tumor in my lungs has remained the same size but is fading. The Dr thinks it may now be scar tissue left by the dead cancer cell. I will come back in 3 months for test. I am so glad that the Lord brought me here for treatment. Thank you to all of you that have kept me i...

Re: KRAS G12V Mutation Question

Hi Sharing Hope, You are right that chemo options are limited in Kras mutations. It would be helpful to have more of your story. Please add a signature so we know something about your treatment history. In general, if you are stage III or IV, you would need to get initial treatment with standard the...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

After your wife's experience do you feel that the NIH teams expertise is worth the additional time and travel involved? Three years ago, when we worked so hard to get into this trial, I would have said that it was our only option... either this trial succeeds or we have no hope. Now, I think there ...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

Hi Everyone, I have been very interested in this trial since I first heard of it and am looking into applying if my first line treatment fails, but I had a quick questions. I have been reading through the thread and there is a mention of MD Anderson as a possible site for a similar study. I am curr...

Re: At Slight Crossroads and NCT01174121

My heart rate doubled when I read you post. Sleen's status was almost exactly like your wife's. I think you are right to hold off more chemo until you've given TIL a shot. Take a look at Sleen's blog http://www.cancerriot.blogspot.com. The ironic thing about this trial is that you need to be fairly ...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

At NIH today for 3rd Keytruda tx and results of ct scan yesterday. The CT scan shows graying around the cancer tumor. My "fellow" said it's hard to tell but the cell may of shrank a small amount. No new tumors. All very good news to me. :D That is great news in my opinion. The scans I've ...

Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

We applied to this clinical trial by Dr. Rosenberg and we will fly down to Bethesda next week for a "final" screening. My question is, what kind of experience others have during this screening? Any details? And what to expect after the screening in terms of timeline? What can I do as a ca...
