Anyone here undergo SIRT?

Hi all. I am about to undergo SIRT with Y90 next week for some tumors that seem stable on immunotherapy. Of course I prefer them to be non-existent thus the SIRT. The initial mapping showed disease is confined to segment VIII and the plan is to nuke it via the right hepatic artery. I stopped Pembro ...

Re: DK37 Experimental Immunotherapy Treatment Update

Hi Tom. I follow your blog when I can. I remember reading that you underwent SIRT with Y90? Is that accurate? I ask because I am about to undergo SIRT next week as well. How was it? I am also on Pembrolizumab (temporarily stopped for now but will continue after SIRT). Any thoughts on the possible ab...

Re: Any Chemo Lifers? Incurable Stage 4

Hi. Not technically a chemo lifer yet but I am stage 4. Currently on Pembrolizumab every 3 weeks but I am scheduled to undergo SIRT with Y90 spheres next week for some tumors in the liver that have responded partially to Pembro but aren't going away. Everything else outside the liver has gone. Docto...

New scan on Keytruda. Need opinion.

Hi all. Asking for some input. I have been on Keytruda exclusively since early this year and things have been going well. Extrahepatic lesions (supraclavicular, paraaortic) have gone. Liver lesions have shrunk and are PET negative. I have been gaining weight and am asymptomatic save for extreme dry ...

Keytruda and dry mouth

Anyone here on Keytruda experience extreme dryness of the mouth? Is this common? I just noticed it after my last dose. Eating anything dry (chips, biscuits, bread) is a task.

Re: Liver metastasis and bile duct involvement

I was just told I need a bile duct stent placed due to blockage. I was told it may be from outside pressure from a tumor or a tumor in the bile duct. Has anyone experienced this? Did bile duct involvement complicate things? Any info would be appreciated. Hi. I experienced this. I had a stent placed...

Re: Need advice for next step

Thanks Lee. I am happy with the improvement on Keytruda as well. Would just feel better having those f*ckers nuked is all. Hoping that SIRT plus immuno might be a lethal combo for the cancer. I understand and hear your frustration. Can you get some opinion in your area or are you planning to go out...

Need advice for next step

Hi all. Just wanted some advice. Update: I have been on Keytruda 200mg every 3 weeks sine March. Since then scans have improved. Extrahepatic (supraclavicular, cardiophrenic, periportal) nodes have regressed. 2 main liver tumors remain, slightly smaller and less enhancing on MRI. No activity on PET....

Re: Stage 1 with no surgery...any thoughts?

Like what others have said. A very tough and personal decision. I can only say what I would do. I would get surgery since it would in theory nip the cancer in the butt. For good. Keep in mind this is from the perspective of someone who was stage 4 and has had multiple recurrences and surgeries. So 1...

Re: Ascites. Peritoneal mets confirmed.

Talked to the onc just now. He said ascites implies a more life-threatening outlook, so to control the symptoms ASAP, Keytruda is worth trying, considering it's potential and minor side effects, regardless of the patient's MS status. He is very willing to use Keytruda along with other drugs if the ...
