Re: Interesting Study on Exercise and Metastasis

Interesting. Now that we know how much our immune system plays a role in how our body deals with cancer cells this isn’t so surprising. Exercise boosts immunity.

“We’re still here”

https://youtube.com/shorts/3A0TBNhYyiY?feature=share Hi all. Just checking in after a long time. I posted this short I saw where Ke Huy Quan and Brendan Fraser saw each other and said ”Hey. We’re still here.” It just got me. We’re still here. Just a little over 8 years from my first surgery and st. ...

Possible new recommendations on less Aspirin use

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/10/12/heal ... troke.html

Hi all. Just saw this and wanted to share since I think a lot of us, myself included, take a baby aspirin daily. I think for now I’ll continue it. Any thoughts?

Vit D and immunotherapy

Question for everyone who’s on or has been on immunotherapy, specifically checkpoint inhibitors. Do you take Vit. D supplements or not? I used to all throughout treatment including chemo but stopped when some conflicting evidence (which I can’t find now) came out. Now I see new evidence linking it t...

Re: Inflammatory lesions on PET

I haven’t had this exact situation but I can understand your onc’s position. Uptake is borderline and it’s in an atypical location for a CRC met, and you did (what I’d consider) strenuous exercise the day prior heavily emphasising that side of your body (assuming you’re right-handed). So definitely...

Inflammatory lesions on PET

Hi everyone. Been a while since I logged on but like I always say “life gets in the way”. A good thing. But lately the pandemic gets in the way too. Not a good thing. Update: I just had my first PET-CT in 6 months after stopping Pembro infusions early this year. Although the last year my onc just ga...

Re: Has anyone had Y90 Radionembolization?

Hi. I had SIRT/Y90 in October 2017 while I was on my first year of immunotherapy (Keytruda) to take care of a lesion that although PET negative was noted to have contrast uptake on CT (meaning it still had a blood supply). By that time that was the only lesion left unresponsive and all others had di...

Re: Unsure how to proceed

Personally I would follow your onc. Have you looked into immunotherapy? It may be an option, albeit out of protocol, as well.
