Thanks for your comments. After talking to the breast cancer patient, I thought this may be an expense I could cut. It looks like I'm just going to need to find a way to make some extra money.

I thought with trials the patient pays nothing out of pocket? With this trial, I am financially responsible for everything that is considered a normal part of treatment, and the sponsor doesn't offer travel reimbursements. The sponsor covers the drug and any tests that are considered beyond standar...
I am currently participating in a clinical trial and have been seeing the oncologist every two weeks. Appointments with the trial oncologist are pretty expensive compared to my local oncologist, who I still see on occasion. I was talking to someone who is in treatment for breast cancer, and she told...
Hi. It's been a while so I just thought I'd give y'all an update. I've been receiving nivolumab treatments as part of a clinical trial for almost a year now. The trial oncologist says I've had a "tremendous" response. I was originally told the trial would last a year but am preparing to en...
Hi, Leslie. I'm currently in an immunotherapy trial for nivolumab. It's also known as Opdivo. I started the trial in January and had my second scan Monday. It showed I no longer have any signs of metastatic disease. My side effects haven't been bad at all. I've had some fatigue, but I'm not sure if ...
I thought it would be interesting to start a thread for those of us who have used or are currently using different immunotherapies. If you want to join in the conversation, please post with what drug you are on, how long you've been on it, ms status, results so far....etc. I'm hoping this thread wi...
I started this trial Jan. 5 and had my first scan last month. The scan showed I'm responding to the treatment and have shrinkage in most of the areas of concern. There have been no horrible side effects. I even had a burst of energy after my first treatment. I have been battling some fatigue and itc...
Is Keytruda a standard treatment option for colon cancer patients? Before I got into a clinical trial, I thought FOLFOX, FOLFIRI, IROX or the trial were my only treatment options.
I hope you have an awesome response to the treatment!
I don't have a lot to offer, butt did want to wish you good luck. When I was in treatment (FOLFOX), I always ate prior to infusion. I feel it kept nausea at bay. Drinks lot of water, maybe bring an IPod or IPad for passing the time. (((HUGS))) Lee Thanks, Lee. Thanks for the tip about eating before...
I got into a clinical trial and have my first treatment Tuesday. I'll be getting nivolumab infusions once every other week. If anyone has any tips on preparing for treatment or things to take with me, I'd really appreciate you sharing them.
