Re: BrownBagger ....... I don't know what to say

I'm at a loss of words. Brown Bagger was so full of life! He helped me so much when I was first diagnosed. So sad, so very sad.

Re: Chemo Question

I had a port for my 24/7, 5FU treatment. My chemo/radiation lasted for 6 weeks. They did labs from my port and used it for multiple surgeries. It wasn't too bad. Best of wishes with your treatment.

Re: Which chemo?

I would have to agree. Schedule for a power port and use the PICC line for chemo until you can get the port placed. Five weeks is too long to wait for treatment.

Please keep us posted, and best of luck for you!

Liver scan on Monday

Went to the Oncologist last Monday for my biannual CEA testing, and was talking to her about this nagging pain I'm having where my Liver and Gall bladder are. Well, that conversation lead into a CAT scan of my liver to rule out Liver mets. I hate even typing that. Hopefully, it just my gall bladder ...

Re: Low WBC and HGB one year post treatment

My WBC's are 3.3, and I'm 3 years post chemo. Oncologist tells me it's my new normal. Haven't been sick in 3 years, and I feel pretty good, so we're just watching it.

Re: Lynch testing?

I received my Lynch testing results yesterday. From counseling to results took just a little over 3 weeks. I thought that was pretty fast. Mine were negative. Hope you get your results in a timely fashion!

Re: Hand and foot advice

I also had hand and foot syndrome. I used Gold Bond lotion during the day and Vitamin E at night. I had to stop working at 4 weeks because it was too painful to walk or to even stand on them. I stopped wearing socks except for at night. The friction only made it worse. I elevated my legs, so my heel...

Re: Sorry to be here but may I join you?

Welcome! Sounds like you are doing the same thing I did. The only difference was, due to surgery complications, an ileostomy could not be done (which was fine with me). The surgeon did an Proctocolectomy with Ileo anal pouch anastomoses. This was done in two phases, which made for a 21 day hospital ...

Re: Fun thread - where have you pooped since DX

Had to give several 'courtesy flushes' on an American flight somewhere above St.Louis.
I'm like a little kid. We go some place, I need to check out the bathroom.
