Re: 5 year scans

Thank you CF_69! :) I was released back to my family doctor back in 2015. I hope you get a clear colonoscopy and a clear CT!*hugs*

Re: End of treatment and anxiety!

I hope he gets clear scans!*hugs* I have to wait 7 to 10 days for results. I only hear something of my results are abnormal. There is a doctor shortage here so everything is slow. It's hard waiting for results!*hugs* I try to distract myself by doing things I enjoy.

Re: Bad symptoms every 5 days

Deb, I feel stress waiting for CT scan results but I've never had these type of digestive symptoms while waiting. kandj, I'm sorry your family went through that!*hugs* I haven't had a fever and no vomiting. NHMike, I've been eating less overall for the most part because I equate eating with pain. Wh...

Re: Bad symptoms every 5 days

I had a clear colonoscopy back in September. I just had my 5 year CT scan on Wednesday and won't get results until I see my family doctor on the 21st. I had the flu shot. I don't think it's any type of flu. I don't think it's related to cancer but maybe some other type of digestive condition. Yes, u...

Bad symptoms every 5 days

Since the 4th every 5 days I get horrible cramping, bloating, gas, lots of soft bowel movements then diarrhea. In between those days I have either no bowel movements at all or constipation. So I've had this on the 4th, the 9th, and the 14th. This has never happened to me before. I have lost a little...

Re: 5 year scans

Thank you CF_69! I don't have an oncologist since I didn't need chemo. The oncologist referred me back to my family doctor.

Re: Six years today!

I hope your PSA continues to drop! *fingers crossed* I'm glad the side effects passed in time. I've still been having my usual post surgery stomach issues. Also I still get ischemic colitis attacks but since my GI had me start a daily low dose coated aspirin I haven't had an ischemic colitis attack ...

Re: 5 year scans

Thank you MeAndMine! :) I'm used to always waiting for results, appointments, etc.. It's the norm here. It doesn't make it any easier. Yes, everything should be ok. Thanks Buxton! :)

Re: 5 year scans

We don't have a separate scan place. All of my testing is done at our one hospital. They don't read the scans right away. There's not only a doctor shortage here but a shortage of radiologists, other technicians and nurses. The report isn't sent electronically to my doctor. They send it to her via i...

Re: 5 year scans

Thank you Punky! :) Yes, this should be the last scan for a while. I will still have my CEA and CA 125 tested twice next year. I don't know what happens afterward. I will have to ask my family doctor.

Re: 5 year scans

Thank you Dave! I hope so too! :D I drink gastrografin mixed with juice. I get anaphylaxis from the CT contrast which is injected so I have to take prednisone and benadryl to prevent a reaction. I have never had a reaction using those medications but I still get nervous. Also it's hard waiting for r...
