Will be switched to Stivarga

Recently, my husband was experiencing pain on his back, on his side, on his tummy area. Which is why 2 weeks ago his onco requested for an ultrasound and a bone scan, thinking that it might be bone mets. The test came out negative and he was given antibiotics and pain reliever to cure his kidney cys...

Re: Update on hubby's lung surgery

Hi everyone. Sorry was out of the loop for awhile. Got busy because of familial and work stuff. My husband got his results from his molecular profiling and it looks like it's folfiri plus vectibix or erbitux for my husband. His chemo will be on the 16th. He had his operation last October 30 and now ...

Update on hubby's lung surgery

My hubby opted to have a metastasectomy of his lung mets despite the fact that he had a new spread on his liver and retro peritoneal lymph nodes. He was originally scheduled for a bilateral surgery but the thoracic surgeon had to make a quick judgement call, and decided to clear the median area of h...

Lung surgery

My dh is scheduled for lung surgery in 3 weeks time. I have a few questions in mind, I hope to hear from you fearless people who have already gone thru this road. 1. My husband was on Avastin prior, how many weeks did you have to wait before surgery? As Avastin can cause bleeding/blood clotting. I j...

Retro peritoneal lymph nodes

We've just learned from my dh's latest petscan that he has an active retro peritoneal lymph node. Would he be a candidate for liver/lung surgery knowing that he has lymph involvement. This is the question I will ask his surgeon but I'm getting anxious, our appointment is not until 2 days from now. T...

Re: If you want prayer stop in here!

Please pray for my dh. Folfirinox plus Avastin failed him as he still got progression on his lung nodules. We got the latest petscan and discovered liver and retro peritoneal lymph nodes involvement besides his lung mets that we were treating since January.

Prayers to everyone!!!
