Today is exactly 7 years after my husband had a surgery. It was the most difficult time in our life. When on chemo he was laid off, after 14 years of employment. Be strong, this is a very difficult time, but it's hope everything will be fine. Look at my signature, almost 7 years after !! My husband is doing great. Good luck
Don't worry. You are still in treatment, your CEA can be elevated due to chemo. My husband's CEA was 1.1, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7 and 1.4, jumped to 2.3, after 3 months is lower 1.6. His oncologist said, if it's in normal range is OK and told us not to worry.
My husband ( dx Jun'07 ) doesn't have to do CT scans anymore, last one he had was 2 yrs ago. His onc. recommends CEA test once a year and colonoscopy every 3 years when clear and regular physical checkups every year like everybody else without cancer. We are ready for 6 years anniversary !
