My mom had the top surgeon in Chicago who has the skill sets to do laparoscopic, however, her tumor was in a very low and difficult to access to location so he did it open. Also, for her, it would have mean the difference between a permanent ostomy vs not having a permanent ostomy.

I guess I'm worried that it didn't disappear like some of the posts I've read on here. Also my onc is never worried about anything and on two occasions it was the big C!

My mom is stage IV and her onc is at northwestern.
We've gotten opinions from University of Chicago too.

I am very familiar with pain pumps especially if it isolated to one area of your body (good friend of mine is a pain physician). Are those the only two u have? I think based on what I've read here and the docs I've talked to. RFA is the way to go if on the periphery.

Colonoscopies for stage IV Patients

Oncologist and CRC surgeon have recommended colonoscopies every two years for my mom after they found her lung met.

How often do you go if you're stage IV?
