O/T The 4 Kinds Of Health Chatroom Users (Article)

Really? OK...Why Not! We're being studied folks. Trying to put us in a slot. Obviously this is just one take on the character of health chatroom visitors and users, and another study might see things differently. OK, so WHO on here participated in this survey, as I don't see a category for the clini...

Re: Anyone with persistent Abscess and strong cramping STG IV

Have you considered sending her records for 2nd opinion @ a major cancer center such as MD Andersen, Houston or MSKCC, NY if your insurance allows travel, that is. Might be worth the trouble considering all the trouble you currently are having. Of course you've got to get these abscess fires or what...

Re: The Grim Reaper took another swipe at me !!

Hello Diane, This is Thanksgiving week here, national holiday on Thursday. One of the busiest travel times of the year. The "year of firsts" is very true, i.e. first Christmas, anniversary, birthday, etc w/o your partner. Car trouble...well, you can count on that to happen + maintaining a ...

Re: Peri mets, Stage IV --- Need advice

Was wondering how your consult went, AJ :) That was quick. They appear to be quick & organized there @ UCSD from initial contact to consult to scheduling surgery. BFF is scheduled there, also w/Dr. Lowy, next wk for HIPEC (also appendix cancer). Glad you were a candidate & doing fine! Curiou...

Re: Tom marsilje

Stunned to read this. My deepest condolences to Tom's wife, daughters, family & friends. It's mind boggling of all he has accomplished since joining Colon Talk a couple of years ago, when I remember he was just beginning his blog, deciding to make it public. No stone was left unturned by DK37. A...

Well, you got us goin again Karen. We've been known to hijack a thread or two, taking it way off course as it snowballs w/others jumping in too...or the other way around. But that Lucy is a party girl; make no mistake about that. She's always up to some shenanigan, dragging me into the plot. ...

Re: Exploring HIPEC Surgery and How to Choose A Surgeon

inorganic8, Certainly I would read the forum links for HIPEC Jacques listed + type hipec in the search box which will bring up additional threads. I did all of that while assisting my BFF in search of qualified surgeons for HIPEC due to appendix cancer. I did notice a post where you had a negative e...

BS and Peanut, I commend you both. Find minds work alike. You are The Best of a Lucille Ball and Ethyl Merman duet. Thank you both for immensely brightening my day and for making me feel welcomed in this forum. I hope to honor Belle’s (NWGirl’s) participation and heartfelt memory on this forum by o...

DH is out of town for a few days, so I thought what a perfect time for Fonzie to try sleeping on the bed for the first time. Well, I like a little fresh air when sleeping so I left the window open. Apparently Fonz got a little chilly and decided to creep under the covers. Eventually he ended up wit...

Re: Pain near belly button -- umbilical hernia?

Just wanted to share how we help others on here through our threads/posts. My BFF, recently dx'd w/appendix cancer, called yesterday mentioning soreness around belly button. She had laparoscopic surgery approx 6wks ago to remove appendix. I told her to hang on, that I had just seen a thread title re...
