Re: I got my chemo curls in 2020 *

Thanks BS for the comments. It was both husband and step-son in your family with liver mets as I recall? Yes, updated my signature. DSS had a stent in bile duct for drainage. Wasn't possible for DH so drainage tubes were placed post liver resection. Backed up bile, liver cysts developed into freque...

Re: I got my chemo curls in 2020 *

Wow, Mob, you've sure had a time of it. Sorry to read this. Sounds like it's time to bring a pulmonary specialist onboard. And that bile needs some place to go, btw. What is the plan to keep an eye on that? Any talk of possible stent if bile continues to build up? Consider a top-notch gastro doc w/h...

Re: Covid 19 vaccine

Didn't think so Peanut, because people have never been able to remove their own posts...unless things have changed, you have to leave @ least one character. Many times we have seen people just type "never mind" or "delete" or you see nothing but a period in place of a post. I can...

Hey Everybody! Been so long that I entered the wrong username. Shoutout to "the gang" (hope I'm part of that reference Lee  ) I miss everybody too. Personally, I have been ready to flush that 2020 toilet for some time now; fed up w/Fauci to be sure. I'll leave it @ that. Lee, I knew ...

Re: NEW THREAD FOR LOVED ONES LEFT BEHIND ONGOING

I call that the caregiver curse. Have it myself & is really tough to shake. Some things are just out of our control & not possible to anticipate all & any scenarios. You tried to help your DH best you could. Your grief so fresh, strong right now & probably still in shock & your D...

Re: No longer NED- back in right ovary

Sorry to hear that Brenda! Glad you've gotten some helpful input here. I want to encourage you to double check your insurance on HIPEC @ some point. Seems to me tx cannot be denied if not offered locally. May want to check w/your insurance or insurance rep office @ the state level...or change insura...

Re: Pension Plan, take a lump sum or not?

Been so long since I've posted, had to really think on how to log in & password. You don't want to leave your money @ a company where you no longer work if they offer a rollover. You don't have a pulse for what's going on w/the business or the 'climate' there. Rolling over to IRA is the way to g...

Punky, You know how I feel about inserting oneself as the patient vs your mother & then sharing those stresses w/the patient that a caregiver should carry on their own back (for the most part). Remember our little talk here: https://coloncancersupport.colonclub.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=61055&...

Re: Take me away to that special place - Picture Thread

I would like to start a new thread where members can post images and/or share stories of their special place, special friend, special event or activity that help us forget, however briefly, the affects of CRC on our and our families lives. mob Hi Everyone, Don't have a picture to share, maybe one o...
