Re: (Somewhat Delayed) Five Year Anniversary

Hey all. So I met with my oncologist on Friday, 7/31/20. My colon resection surgery took place in the fall of 2014 and I finished 6 months of folfox in the spring of 2015. I had the stable ct scan in July of 2020. I was a little surprised that my oncologist told me that I still had a chance of colon...

(Somewhat Delayed) Five Year Anniversary

Hi. I was diagnosed with stage 3b colon cancer in the fall of 2014. I had colon resection surgery and finished folfox chemotherapy in the spring of 2015. I have had three colonoscopies and at least annual ct scans since then. As I was approaching my five year anniversary, ct scans revealed a cyst on...

Re: Liver Lesion Identified, Four Years After Original Diagnosis

Hi. I just wanted to follow up after my appointment with the oncologist. He wants another CT scan in three months, to see if the lesion has changed in any way. I asked him about an MRI of the liver, he said that the lesion is not big enough (2-3 mm) for an MRI to be warranted. He also said the CT sc...

Re: Liver Lesion Identified, Four Years After Original Diagnosis

Hi. Yes, all of the kidney results are referring to the same mass. I will ask my oncologist about whether an mri of the liver is appropriate. Thank you for the suggestion.

Liver Lesion Identified, Four Years After Original Diagnosis

Hi. I had a CT scan yesterday (10/24/18). I was diagnosed with colon cancer in 8/14. The CT impression from 10/24/18- tiny 2-3 mm hypodense lesion in the right lobe of the liver which is too small to characterize; however, it is new when compared to the prior study (10/17). No other intrahepatic les...

Re: Colonoscopy Prep

Sorry about the polyps...IDK if they can be prevented, I think some people just grow them. I am so uncomfortable about the waiting times between colonoscopies in folks like us, who have had diagnoses of cancer. THREE YEARS IS TOO LONG!!!!! I had my 1 year colonoscopy a few days ago and the doc said...

Re: Colonoscopy Prep

Hi. Just a quick follow up. I had the colonoscopy yesterday. It had been two years since my last colonoscopy. The gastroenterologist removed four polyps. He doesnt think they were cancerous, but they are being biopsied. Unfortunately, even though I followed the prep instructions, the prep wasnt as g...
