Re: For Stage III's: NED for how long now?

Any peer reviewed studies/sources that confirm this? Sorry not trying to be rude or anything, but i know lot of stressful people who live long lives.. Re: Random dull side pain

In one month, it will be two years since I've had my surgery for Stage III rectal cancer (29 nodes removed, none with cancer; I need to do my signature some day). After my surgery, I would experience an ache here or there and would also notice bumps this place and that. For every ache, I wondered if...

Re: Neoadjuvant ChemoRad Advice

My next appointment is w/ the Med Oncologist: Dr. Ilene Browner, and I can't find out much info about her. While I'm sure she's good her areas of interest seem to be Geriatric Oncology and Palliative Care... While I won't claim to be young I'm well away from being Geriatric and, unless they've been...

Is your surgeon dr Gearhart?

I'm 44 and about two years out from my surgery. If you need anything, feel free to hit me up.

Re: Neoadjuvant ChemoRad Advice

Has anybody mentioned endorectal brachytherapy to you? They've been doing trials at Hopkins and given what you've written in your sig, you might qualify. I underwent this treatment there myself. 4 treatments and no chemo. http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/radiation_oncology/treatments/brachytherapy.htm...

Re: Maryland Support Groups?

My name is Mike, I'm 44 and liven in Odenton. I was diagnosed with CRC 2 years ago nearly to this day. I underwent endrorectal brachytherapy at Johns Hopkins, surgery, and then chemo. If there's a meet up, I'd love to participate.

Re: Worried about lung mets

I was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer in June of 2014. I used to worry about every ache, pain, and bump (I have little fatty deposits all over the place) being a recurrence or a swollen lymph node. At some point, I finally decided that there was no way a recurrence could grow quickly enough in ...
