Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

Really appreciated the story of how Chloe came into your life, BS. She's a really special girl. Many internet hugs to both of you. And that carrot! Here's a few pics from car week last year. https://i.imgur.com/LZnNfCu.jpg DH is getting a last minute pep-talk from his driving instructor. ___...

Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

Did I hear zucchini? Reminds me of when my parents grew them. Somehow they missed the memo that some squash are better when harvested small. They were so proud when Dad rolled in a humungous specimen. Never mind that it was a tough old veg that was only good grated for zucchini bread. We did get som...

Re: We Need Some Laughs Here: Reloaded 2018

My friend says to me: "what rhymes with orange" I said: "no it doesn't" I just found out I was colour blind. The diagnosis came completely out of the purple. My dogs tail fell off last week, so I took him to walmart. I heard they're one of the biggest retailers in the world. Why ...

Nice to hear from you again Bro Nut. Speaking of the daughter, she used to have a dog who loved to plant potatoes. He'd take one, find the perfect spot, dig a hole, and then use his snout to tap the dirt down. It was quite a process, and has been immortalized on U-Tube. https://www.youtube.com/watch...

Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

Shana, to post a pic, you need to host the photo on a site like Imgur. From Imgur, you copy the BBCode, and past it here. Voila!! And confidentially, BS, I think you may be right, the apple is actually an asian pear.   Don't know how that happened since we weren't supposed to get ...

Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

I'm with your sister BS, in finding that the flavor of eggplant is an acquired taste, not terribly found of the texture either. But they are a really beautiful vegetable. Such a pretty color. So much excitement here at the 'farm'. We planted some fruit trees last fall, and are happy to report some s...

Re: New to board: Rectal Cancer 2a

Hi Sammy, Welcome to Colon Talk. I was in a very similar situation to you when I was diagnosed almost 5 years ago. 2A, RC with 0/24 nodes and possible LVI. My onc originally suggested FOLFOX (CAPEOX would be comparable). We discussed the additional benefit that oxaliplatin added. There really aren't...

Love the mountain/lake shot bonbon. Makes me want to go on a hike, but we're in the midst of a summer scorcher, heading to 105 today. Beautiful eggplant BS. We don't have them often, but once I sliced it the long way and grilled the slices with a little olive oil. Then added tomato sauce and parmaes...

Been trying out a few new combinations for container gardens here in TX, where it is hot, really hot. https://i.imgur.com/twIjN8M.jpg kind of like this combination of canna with the red and green variegated leaves with the light green sweet potato vine. https://i.imgur.com/r5XSSkO.jpg moss roses see...

Re: Salami

Organic is an interesting topic. Personally, I only splurge on organic chicken, and that's mainly to avoid all the antibiotics that many poultry farmers use.

Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

So pretty BS. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get some pics. DH was involved in a nasty car accident Saturday. He's OK, but his 3/4 ton diesel truck is totaled. We've been busy with dr, chiropractor and counseling. I'm actually quite surprised he agreed to talk with someone, but happy about it. peanut

Re: Salami

There is quite a bit of evidence that regular exercise post cancer diagnosis can help prevent a reoccurrence.

My onc, Dr. B, is a huge advocate of exercise, especially walking.

Best Wishes,

Re: CEA false positives?

Hi MartinSmith, Welcome to Colon Talk.

I'm not familiar with false positive CEA tests, don't really recall it being discussed here. Can you post your last couple of tests with dates? Any recent CT scans, or other abnormal tests?

Thanks and Best Wishes,
peanut
