Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

Been trying out a few new combinations for container gardens here in TX, where it is hot, really hot. https://i.imgur.com/twIjN8M.jpg kind of like this combination of canna with the red and green variegated leaves with the light green sweet potato vine. https://i.imgur.com/r5XSSkO.jpg moss roses see...

Re: Salami

Organic is an interesting topic. Personally, I only splurge on organic chicken, and that's mainly to avoid all the antibiotics that many poultry farmers use.

Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

So pretty BS. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get some pics. DH was involved in a nasty car accident Saturday. He's OK, but his 3/4 ton diesel truck is totaled. We've been busy with dr, chiropractor and counseling. I'm actually quite surprised he agreed to talk with someone, but happy about it. peanut

There is quite a bit of evidence that regular exercise post cancer diagnosis can help prevent a reoccurrence.

My onc, Dr. B, is a huge advocate of exercise, especially walking.

Re: CEA false positives?

Hi MartinSmith, Welcome to Colon Talk.

I'm not familiar with false positive CEA tests, don't really recall it being discussed here. Can you post your last couple of tests with dates? Any recent CT scans, or other abnormal tests?

Thanks and Best Wishes,

So happy to see that you revived this thread, BS. Your roses are so pretty I can almost smell them, and I also love hydrangeas. Claudia your dogs are super cute, and your cat is also. Personally, I'm at a wedding in Indiana. Maybe I can get a few shots today, and post them tomorrow. Best Wishes, eve...

Re: Age 19, colon cancer, did everything t get diagnosed ?

Hi supergeorgedude. Welcome to Colontalk. Good for you that your colonoscopy can back clean. I think you can rule out colon cancer, which is our main emphasis here. Have you considered therapy for your health obsession? Frankly, examining your stools with a Popsicle sick is not normal behavior, espe...

Re: We Need Some Laughs Here: Reloaded 2018

A strange twist of fate has Hillary Clinton, George W. Bush, and Donald Trump alone together sharing tips for improving consumer satisfaction. George, being the good Texan that he is, states that he could throw $100 out the window and make someone happy. Donald, always the smug New Yorker, pipes in ...

Medical malpractice is a complicated matter, and subject to local and state laws. Your best bet would be to consult a local attorney experienced in such cases.

Re: 5FU pump

Hi Wendy,

Do you know if taking Xeloda (a pill) is an option instead of 5-FU (infusion via pump)? They essentially do the same thing in the body, just administered differently.

Best Wishes

Re: New member with Xeloda question for Stage II

Lynn, Glad to hear that the link was helpful. When I was on Xeloda I drank as much water as possible, like 3-4 liters per day. I also got ahold of Nunn's tablets and used them. They're good for replacing lost electrolytes, and add a bit of flavor. Gatorade would accomplish the same thing. My onc red...

Re: New member with Xeloda question for Stage II

Hi ocgross10 welcome to Colon Talk. Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Are you sure that Xeloda is causing neuropathy? That is typically related to oxaliplatin found in the FOLFOX combination. Xeloda is related to hand/foot syndrome. It's annoying to be sure, butt there are measures you can take to...
