Re: MIRAFIBER - MALTODEXTRIN

Hi Shannon, If I'm understanding correctly, you can still get the powder but not the caplets. Have you considered making your own caplets from the powder? I haven't tried this, but it sounds pretty simple, and the hardware not excessively costly. https://www.powdercity.com/pages/capsule-machine-diy ...

A RETIREE'S LAST TRIP TO COSTCO!! Yesterday I was at Costco, buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Owen, the Wonder Dog and was in the check-out line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had, an elephant? So because I'm retired and have little to do, on...

Re: those of you with a colostomy

Hi Betsy, Sorry about your DH's colostomy. I have a permanent colostomy also. As far as I recall, it took several months to come to terms with it. In my case, reading about others on the Colon Club help[ed a lot. Lots of folks here have it far worse than I do. As I was getting used to 'Totoro', (my ...

Personally, I wouldn't be to concerned about flat ribbon like stools. Of course, it wouldn't hurt to mention it to your GP. If you ever see blood, that would be important, and require further searching for the cause. Best Wishes, peanut edited to add If you do see your GP, he/she can do a fecal occ...

Re: Will I ever be able to eat the foods I love again? Post-Colectomy problems

Welcome to the Colon Club, no_colon-powell. Must say that I had a good chuckle about your name. You've been through a lot (quite an understatement IMO). It's going to take some time before you're back to eating like you were before. I suspect your Dr. is right and you'll be able to eat your fav kale...

Soccermom is correct. Miss Molly passed away, and Karen is really struggling.

Sending mega internet love her way.

Re: Anyone doing xelox and xeloda. Please help

It's important to take Xeloda up to 30 minutes after eating because food affects the absorption rate of the drug, not just aiding with reducing nausea.

Best Wishes,
peanut
