Re: End of life question about bilirubin

Julia, I know what your going through as the liver starts to fail, I remember seeing my dad on a Monday early April his eyes mildly jaundiced when I seen him again 5 days later his entire body was extensively jaundiced, he hated that colour but was accepting of his fate. In a nutshell we knew the ou...

Re: How do you tell a 5 year old daddy's girl that her daddy is dieing?

Wiping away the tears reading this, the memories of telling my 5 year old son that his grandfather (my father), was ill, wasn't going to get better still haunt me (only 13 weeks ago), kids have a great understanding, my son knew his granddad was ill, his illuminious yellow jaundice was a give away, ...

Re: Devastated Wife

I'm so sorry to read about your loss, words at this time are difficult to describe the emotions one goes through following the passing of a loved one, I have no words other than you are in my thoughts and prayers, I hope you find comfort in the cherished memories, I know this has helped me at times.

Re: Another wall

Had oncology review, attempting one last trial of chemo to try and slow down the deterioration, not really sure if it will work, given the number of liver mets (extensive) no drugs that are metabolised in the liver can be administered, very jaundiced, time not on his side, quite an open and honest c...
