I've also lost a career, finished chemo and rang the bell, etc. Losing an income or career is tough to handle and always seems to happen at the worst time. Congrats on ringing the bell! Wishing the best for and you and your family.

I had one put in while awake, it was a little uncomfortable but not painful, I only kept it for a few days and had no problems with it.
