Is ascites common

Do many folks need an external drain? Or just go to hosp when need to be drained?

How do you know when you need it drained?

Any other info on this greatly appreciated.

Re: Problems first time accessing PowerPort

Is it possible anxiety is involved?
Perhaps an anti-anxiety would help? Make sure you get a ride home for afterwards.
Good luck!

Re: It's 3 AM and I'm on the toilet

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this!*hugs* I can have many small bowel movements a day along with urgency that drives me crazy. I haven't found anything that really works. I have to be careful with immodium because it works too well for me if I take more than one pill at a time or take it too of...

You need strength to climb out of the valley. So get plenty of rest and some nutrients before you expect to climb too high. Just a few steps, perhaps to first plateau, is a good accomplishment. You can do it.

Re: What else can these treatments take from me?

Beans mama,
So sorry youre feeling crummy.
I have heard of others getting relief by going through knowledgeable dermatologist instead of onc or pcp.

I think its a race as to who has best husband - mine is also awesome. At least we got extra lucky in that department.

Re: Daily Imodium?

Just bringing an old topic back to life.
I find myself taking immodium almost every day, sometimes a few times per day, butt always for frequent loose stools.
Has anyone heard negative reports about high frequency use of this?

Re: September Scans?

Scanning tomorrow. Just took a one week postponement so i could attend wedding. Trmt before that was the oxali desensitization in the hosp. So i didnt get a full trmt, including no avastin. Before that it was the trmt where i had the reaction, prompting the desensitization. Before that was only a pa...

Azalea,
Miss Molly makes good suggestion for Squatty Potty. I didnt want to wait for shipping, but found my local Target carries them. Look around. Helped me. It doesnt sound like it will solve all your problems, but its a step in the right direction.

Re: Stop the clustering to travel. (Update)

Just an update. Taking immodium proactively, before any rumblings began, worked wonders for the ride to the wedding. The day of the wedding was more difficult as there was so much food! I took 1/2 an immodium throughout the day every time i went the bathroom for a bm. This kept the urgency under con...
