Re: STIVARGA (Regorafenib) - ONGOING PATIENT EXPERIENCES

3 WEEK BREAK FROM STIVARGA After a terrible reaction to this drug, my ONC is giving me 3 total weeks off before starting the trial again. The drug company doing the study had us starting with 4 pills a day and after one week my counts were shot. At my 1 week check up they pulled the drugs temporaril...

Re: JAK inhibitors show promise for CRC treatment

Thank you so much Vicki! I will keep you posted and do appreciate the advice on preventative measures. I did not have severe reactions to anything yet but oxaliplatin - and severe is in my terms, not the docs of course. I am more nervous than ever in the past 4 years - I guess because I am at clinic...

Re: JAK inhibitors show promise for CRC treatment

I am going to start this trial with stivarga (regorafenib) & Jaks (ruxolitinib) in about 3 weeks. I just quit a 9 week trial of Xeloda & Zaltrap - it didn't do much other than make me too tired to do anything, stomach cramps, etc. Scan showed some shrunk, some remained stable but some grew, ...

Re: Stage IV Newbie with a question

My sigmoid tumor had completely blocked my colon, so I guess that's the reason surgery was first, follo...

Re: Zaltrap and length of treatment

Hi Nick, I just started a clinical trial called X-trap with Zaltrap and Xeloda. I have only had 3 treatments so far, with Zaltrap every 3 weeks/infusion and xeloda pills (2x2) for 2 weeks on and one week off. The trial involves 3 treatments then a scan - then go from there. I get scanned in 10 days....

Re: questions for those on Xeloda

I have taken Xeloda off and on since 2011. I am currently on it again in a clinical trial with Zaltrap. The worst side effect for me is tongue blisters and numbness in fingers, toes and tongue. My original does was 3 in am 3 in pm, backed down to 2x2 and blisters are better. I take L-lysine capsules...
