My lastest

Hello all, Monday I was admitted into the hospital with the worst pain I have ever had. I was released today under hospice care. IV pain meds at home, hospital bed, and around the clock nursing if need be. Thanks to everyone who has helped me through this journey. I have finally had "the talk&q...

Re: trbiggins - thinking of you

Thank you for asking. You are so sweet. I am currently off all treatments, unless you count the sir spheres I had placed earlier. Don't know if they are working yet. They could only treat half of my liver due to elevated numbers. My local onc has suggested that I focus on quality of life now, with t...

Re: Divine Healing

Why can't people let others believe as they choose? I am a firm believer in Jesus as my savior and I know that one day I'll spend eternity in Heaven. Does this make me any better than anyone else? Of course not. All I can say is the person I once was I'm not anymore. I am no better than the worst pe...

Update on Me

Scans completed Tuesday. Today got the results. Mets still growing. I figured as much seeing my CEA lately. I am now officially off of chemo. It's not working anymore. Met with a radiologist and scheduled SIRT for August 10. He said best possible scenario would be for it to prolong survival 5-7 mont...

Re: unknown cause of fever

I get those fevers time to time after treatment. Never can find a reason. Bloodwork always okay. I used to go to the ER but now I just give it a little time and it usually goes away. But that's just me. Do what you think is best.

Re: I'm K- RAS Mutant and K- RAS Wild!

I have been thinking that my liver mets may be different genetically. When I was on Vectibix only, some shrank while others got larger. It makes me wonder.

Re: It is what it is

Thanks for the replies everyone. I like talking to people who "get" what I am going through. I know my family doesn't blame me for this mess, but I can't help but feel somewhat responsible. They are so good to me. I just want to be able to be around to protect them. I feel like that's my j...

Re: Still fighting.... Haven't posted in a while..HELP

I don't have any advice as my story is similar to yours. Don't know what to think most of the time. Find something that brings you peace if that's possible. That's what I do. One thing I do know is that this cancer sucks! I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I hope you find answers to your question...

It is what it is

Hello folks. Been lurking lately and not posting. Here's my update if anyone is wondering. My CEA continues to rise. It was in the 330s yesterday. Apparently my mets are still growing despite TACE, FUDR, and Folfiri. Dr. Kemeny is bringing me in in two weeks for a scan to be sure this is the case, b...
