Re: This chemo is knocking me down

Oddly enough my mum had some really rough rounds but then went back to normal for a few . Check your fluid intake and electrolytes. This really impacted my mum’s ability to cope . I took three of us to put her to bed after one round in particular. Reducing her dose by ten percent changed everything....

Re: Transverse Colon Prolapse/Pelvic Floor Prolapse

For her bladder they put a tape in which has been super for her for the last ten years but others have experienced adverse side effects and are no longer in use over here . Her Bowel is ...

Re: New to this group

Ten years this year for my mum as a stage 4 patient . Chemo was a game changer . But I hear you , getting over one bump to be hit with another is hard . My mum has had her share of that too and talked about having to find her focus but you know it’s paid off . What I would say if it keeps it at a lo...

Re: Sadness (sorry for the blues)

I am so sorry today has been especially tough . I hope tomorrow brings a little strength. A gentle reminder that Google failed its medical exams as it did not stay up to date with current practice. It has not analysed the recent success of new medicines that have been introduced since my mum was dia...

Re: When does the ride stop?

Hi ,

I would not draw any conclusions from that at the moment and go with an open mind to see what options open up .
So if MSK has accepted your husband for a consultation I am assuming they have already reviewed some scans themselves ??? Would that be right ??
They may not be too concerned .

Re: When does the ride stop?

Hi Sorry to hear how upset you are . Is it MSK that said they would not be able help if stomach nodes involved? What I have learnt over the years is to wait and see what the other hospital has to say . They may just be making sure they have been clinically thorough when handing over the file to anot...

Re: Stage IV 31 Year Old Male currently Fighting

We are seeing s big rise in the UK too in your age group. Totally unheard of before and a lot of work is going in to make GP’s more aware of the rise to allow better detection . Just like you most are without a family history or genetic mutation . No idea why !!! However it’s looking good for you an...

Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

That’s incredible. I was trying to work out if it was a garden room .
A lady near me makes beautiful glass art and had to get special planning permission to have a kiln on her premises .
Oh the luxury!!
All the best for next week ,
