Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

Amy I love your attitude. It has to be one of the healthiest attitudes I think I have ever encountered . My mum is a bit like that . She faces the hard stuff but always with an eye on the positive . Got to confess that’s not my natural position . Teacher my mum went kayaking after her chemo finished...

Re: CEA Levels

You are a good responder to treatment so I am holding out for significant shrinkage and your treatment plan to be put into place . My mum had hair thinning . I noticed a rather thin area still in the mix the other day . Got a bit creative !! I don’t blame you for feeling down , you are only human . ...

Re: 80 year old mother

It is a difficult decision for sure . This is a discussion I have had with my mum recently . She would avoid chemo where possible now but would still seek radiotherapy and surgical options . Chemo was rough on her and her platelets are down around 55 since her liver resection. After her lung met was...

Re: My CRC with liver mets journey

Hi , I keep meaning to pop on and say how much I love the way you describe your step children in your signature. How lucky are they to have a step mum like you . Interestingly my mum despite having a significant spread to her liver , when she eventually had the Bowel tumour remover had no visible ce...

Re: CEA Levels

Glad to see that CEA trending downwards . Always nice to know it’s doing its job . Hope it continues in the same way .
You sound as though you have a good plan drawn up .
Take care,

Re: CEA Levels

Hi Rikiramoo, How are you getting on with your treatment ? Hope you are tolerating it ok . After not too long a wait mum phoned yesterday . Despite her CEA remaining high her scan was clear . Given it went up when her blood clot arrived I think it’s connected . But only guessing really . Once we see...

Re: The nagging feeling...

Hi , I have a friend going through the same . She has a young family . One child has a learning disability. She gets consumed with fear for all of them and I totally understand that . She texts me when it happens and I gently go through the positive response to treatment she has had . Give her a lit...

Re: NED for 2+ years, CRC on liver recurred; will start chemo next week

Hi . Sorry to read about your mum . My mum had Avery different approach to her second recurrence. Chemo first then surgery but no post op chemo . Her liver has been clear for the last eight years . My mum has not had chemo since 2010 . Her oncologist only gave chemo for visible disease but they may ...

Re: Bayer found guilty on Roundup

Thank you so much for that Henry . I will purchase that . My niece had indulged a bit and we chatted about a healthier diet . She has taken it fully on board and is now challenging my eating habits . Whilst finding it all slightly amusing I am in return being challenged too!! I will read it over Eas...

Re: Bayer found guilty on Roundup

The thing is though I have a nagging doubt about so much pesticide use getting into the food chain . So much genetic modification on the go I guess the full extent of the implications on diet is unknown . I was explaining to my kids that grapes used to have seeds !! So much has changed . I never hea...
