Re: The diagnosis is in: Stage 4

So sorry you are in the stage four club. Sounds like your onc has plenty of options for treatment. I have been through Folfox, Folfiri, Xeloda+nintendanib trial and am now on a trial for Strivarga to test what is the correct dosage to start and also to test a hand cream for the hanf/foot side effect...

Re: Just a vent

Thank you CRGuy, I really do appreciate the support. It's nice to be able to communicate with people who have an understanding to what I'm going through.

Just a vent

I've been here for quite a while although I don't post that much. Just wanted to vent I guess. Was on a trial of capeciabine and nintedanib which didn't help at all. Last CT shows 20 to 25 new spots between both lungs. Several new spots on my liver. Several lymph nodes now involved and a spot on tge...

Re: Needle biopsy?

My lung nodules are very slow growing also which, I guess, is why I was told it they could be lung cancer and not mets.
However, the trial I am on was used for lung cancer up to now.
Guess we'll see on thr next CT scan.

Thx everyone for sharing. I think we all need positive stories here and, to me, nothing is more positive than sharing stories of our furry friends.

Re: Needle biopsy?

TY Jan for your reply. I am currently on a trial but I had considered having it done to find if 1. It is cancer and 2. Is it CRC mets.

O/T furbabies

How many of us have our furbabies to give us love and attention when we are not feeling well. We have a 17 y/o husky/shepard mix male. A 4y/o German Shepard female. A 9 month old tuxedo girl kitty and a 7 month old "runt" little black girl kitty (she has a white triangle on her tummy) The ...

Re: I Don't Want Cancer to Define Me!

I have a permanent colostomy due to my rectum and anus had to be removed. At first, it was hard for me to deal with but I think I was grieving a bit in terms of losing that part of normality in my life but since then, I have come to regard it as more of a convenience since I don't have to run to fin...

Yes, what is with this weather??
Last year, in November, Buffalo got pounded with the infamous "Wall of snow" this year we are expecting 60 degree weather this weekend.
Glad to see the weather is improving for you. :P

Needle biopsy?

Just wanted some feedback. Reading through this board, I see mention of cancer possibly being spread through needle biopsies. I did ask my oncologist about this mainly because I have been told that the nodules in my lungs may be lung cancer and not just a spread of CRC. My oncologist said it is less...
