Re: I'm officially 10 years NED!

Congrats!! That’s quite a milestone.

I was asked (maybe on the Colon Club calendar application?) what I learned from this whole cancer experience. My answer was that I learned never to drink anything that ends in “lytely.”

So nice to see your post.

All the best!

Re: Swinging Chicken

“Winterset Bev”—what a beautiful name! And to hear the others’ names made me smile.

CrGuy- yes, I believe too that our friends are in harmony with us here.

Swinging Chicken

Not on here a lot anymore, but took this pic today and thought of this forum. :)

My new avatar is Bev, the only chick in my new flock who likes the coop swing. I wish her namesake were here to see the pic.

Swinging chickens for all of you!

Re: Worried - lesion in liver which is not hemangioma

Hi, I hope it is not a met. I agree with others that it’s a good sign that it didn’t change during the CAPOX course. I had a similar situation. I was told my liver spot wasn’t a met at first. However, in my case it turned out it was. At first I was scared, but it was just one met in a good spot for ...

I’m so happy to read that! Congrats to your mom and best to you both. :D

I come here from time to time to visit and read posts, and it’s always so nice to see long-term survivor milestones.

Wow- an hour after I responded to this post, I got an email advertisement for term life insurance.

I wonder if I’d qualify.

Re: Life insurance

You can sell a policy (it’s called a “Viatical Settlement) and pay zero taxes if you get a letter saying it’s “reasonable” that someone with your condition would die within 24 months. I got that letter from my doctor. I sold a term policy back when I was diagnosed stage 4. If I outlive the term, it ...

Re: Seizure - New to Colon Talk

Hello, I’m sorry you went through that. Seizures can be pretty scary- especially not knowing what caused them and if/when they will happen again. I had seizures caused by oxaliplatin back when I was on FOLFOX. I was put on oxtellar, a seizure medication, which seemed to work, but I had a number of f...
