Re: For Stage III's: NED for how long now?

I was diagnosed stage 3C in March/April 2013. I am still NED. I had a lot of lymph nodes involved (9 out of 22). I read this thread a lot when I was diagnosed to hear stories of hope, so here's mine.

Re: Baffled

Hi Jane, well, as we all know fewer lymph nodes is better, and indeed EMVI is a poor prognostic feature, but there is much to be positive about. There are plenty of people on this board with similar or more lymph nodes involved who are NED many years after diagnosis. There are many factors that in c...

Re: Our dear Marc (lohidoc)

I'm so very sad to hear this. Just after I was diagnosed, I came across Marc's blog through this forum. I sat and read it, from beginning to end, one day doing chemo in London. I was awe-struck, just wowed, by his writing, his intelligence and thoughtful approach to his disease. His gentle, often da...

Re: First post, question about a CT scan result

Hi bww,I'm sure your onc will explain and tell you what he/she thinks. On a scan, 9 months out after surgery I had an enlarged paratracheal node. Onc and surgeon weren't worried but recommended I get a scan in three months. So I did and the node was normal sized on the next scan. As Bev said, nodes ...

Re: I need to vent

First, Julie, congrats on raising that much money. That's already a fantastic achievement. Good for you. Just my two cents, but think you're a bit off base here and think your fury is misplaced. You say you "called on" people. What? No, you asked them to help. Maybe it's just a language th...

Also, does anyone know if ADAPT therapy has been used for Stage 3 patients who are NED, as a maintenance therapy?

Re: Can I get some good experiences following Ileo reversal?

Hi Jack, My experience has been good. I had my reversal in January and have been fine since. Things are almost entirely back to normal, although perhaps I have a bit more bowel urgency than before. But very very minor. I feel very fortunate to be without the bag and am very much enjoying being witho...

Re: Awaiting results for my dad, scared. Diet/supplements re

Hi Morgan, sorry you're going through this. Must be a worry. My personal advice: don't be thinking about diets now. Wait for the results and the whatever the treatment plan might be. Of course, I don't know your relationship with your Dad, but from a patient's perspective there is nothing worse than...
