Still here tchan8888

On pembro clinical trial since 11/15. Seems that it has stopped working. Stayed away from board because it is so hard to read about people who I met on board since 2012 are gone. Struggling mentally and emotionally. Will ask onc about next steps given growth of lymph node tumors. Depressed thinking ...

Clinical Trial Update - Pembrozilumab

Hello All, It has been awhile since I have posted. Have tried to take a mental and emotional break since some of the pas sings earlier this year. The trial is going well. About a 42 percent reduction in lymph node tumor size. Am handling the treatment, which is so much easier than FOLFOX and FOLFIRI...

Re: Keytruda question

Michelle, Less side effects than FOLFOX and FOLFIRI. Fatigue on infusion day and feel better by Day 2. Infusion is short and no bottle, which makes a big psychological difference for me. Some constipation. Very manageable for me, but I also handled the chemo pretty well until neuropathy set in. Bles...

Update tchan8888: Pembrozilumab Clinical Trial

Hello Everyone, Just wanted to give a brief update. Had my first scan after 3 treatments. The lymph node tumors were very responsive. Was advised that many people do not see an immediate response to this immunotherapy regimen. Noticeable shrinkage in swelling of lymph nodes in my neck. As for side e...

Re: missing you, tchan8888

OSM,

Have not moved. Am at UC San Francisco. They were given slots and I received one. Am unaware of any geographic regions. This trial just opened up in November.

Will let you know after first scan in February.

Blessings,

Tom

Re: missing you, tchan8888

I am still around, just have been lurking and not posting. Have not been in the mood to participate. Overall, hit my 3 year anniversary. First line (FOLFIRI) no longer effective and Second Line (FOLFOX) had to stop because of neuropathy. Thank God was accepted for pembrolizumab clinical trial. First...

Re: OT had rough week

That's a rough week. Praying for a quick recovery and peace. I personally know that cancer is a journey that brings out the best and worst in a spouse. I think my wife is at the end of her ability to manage the stress and would not be surprised if she left. She has already told me to find a place of...

Hi Team, Thank you so much for the prompting Regan! I really appreciate all of your thoughts and well wishes. Have been traveling a lot for work. Tokyo, Hong Kong, Macau and Walldorf. Although I am not doing the same thing as before, I have been training the new people on our team and sharing my exp...
