Re: A day in the life living w/someone w/inoperable stage IV

Ok, I am not a patient. I am a spouse/caregiver (I quit my job when she was diagnosed to stay home and take care of her and the family). My wife Jennifer was diagnosed in September of 2011 with Colon Cancer with 3 mets to the liver. We started chemotherapy immediately FOLFOX with Avastin, we did 6 r...

Re: Stage IV MCRC and Alternative therapies

As far as the Cessium goes, she takes 1.5 tsp in the morning and the same at night before bed time. She also takes a Potassium supplement due to the leaching from the cessium. Thank you all for the great responses! Lots of new information to sift through! Keep it coming and lets all agree to keep th...

Stage IV MCRC and Alternative therapies

Hello, I was wondering if any other people on here are stage IV and using any alternative therapies? My wife Jennifer was diagnosed with Stage IV MCRC almost 2 years ago now, she was 29 at that time. She has since gone through 4 rounds (6 doses/round in 12 weeks) of FOLFOX w/Avastin, had surgery to ...

Re: FOLFOX help

Usually the hospital is more than willing to help you fill out an application for state medicaid. It is what my wife had to do when she was diagnosed (we had no insurance at all). Medicaid has actually been a blessing even though there is constant arguing with them and constant PA's from the doctor ...

Re: Anyone doing the Gerson Therapy?

All these negative comments about the Gerson but has any one read the book. There is even a section about chemotherapy while using the gerson with modem medicine. Read the book watch some videos. It's more crazy to have docs that only recommend prescriptions and never say a word about eating health...

Re: ZALTRAP CLUB?

Fatigue, I think they should come up with a new term for that when used in conjunction with Chemotherapy side effects lol! Yes, usually when the pump comes off she starts getting more and more tired. Usually ends up in bed for at least a couple days after. But thankfully, since we started adding the...

Re: ZALTRAP CLUB?

The oncologist put Jennifer on Folfiri with Zaltrap, she was on FOLFOX with Avastin, she did 4 rounds of that before the cancer started progressing. Then they tried Stivarga, but she reacted badly to that one, thats when they decided FOLFIRI with Zaltrap. She has had 3 infusions so far out of the 6 ...

Re: Anyone doing the Gerson Therapy?

Well I don't know what diet I'm doing? I'm jucing twice a day, all good stuff for the liver, dark greens and berries. Lot of other goodies in there too. I ordered some supplements like tumeric and mike thisal, a few other that are suppose to be good for the liver. My goal is to get my 3.7 bilirubin...

Re: Anyone doing the Gerson Therapy?

The Gerson Therapy has pulled many thosusands of patients back from the brink of death by the use of juicing and coffee enemas. Says who, apart from you and the quacks behind the Gerson scam? the tumour is not the cancer, it is just a symptom. This is pretty classic tin-foil-hattery. Again, says wh...

Re: Anyone doing the Gerson Therapy?

Ok, so we have an update. We started going to the Wycoff Wellness Center in East Lansing on 3/28, we started doing the high dose i.v. vitamin C, Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation, and a Cessium (high pH) protocol. After talking to our medical oncologist we switched out the Avastin with Zaltrap and are ...

Re: Anyone doing the Gerson Therapy?

Robert- I really feel your pain with somewhat similar circumstances (a young wife, Stage IV ex. we were planning to have kids when she was diagnosed 24 months ago, starting an experimental drug this week). I am sure many others do here too. Feel free to vent when you want. As you already know, ther...

Ok, so we have been taking Jennifer to the Wycoff Wellness Center in East Lansing since the 28th of March, we have been going 2-3 times per week on non-chemo weeks and 1X/week on weeks where she does recieve chemotherapy. She gets the i.v vitamin C (currently at 60 grams/ infusion with a target of 1...
