Re: Bill5107 still having severe head pressure, bloodrushes

Hey buddy. I for one am not thinking about you. Okay, just kidding  This latest post sounds like you're feeling a little bit better. Take great pleasure in the little things. Like a wedge pillow. I've been having severe left scapula and elbow pain with numbness in other parts of the extrem...

Re: Bill5107 still having severe head pressure, bloodrushes

So Lois and I are back on the attack path it seems! lol. I mean it as a good thing though! By that I mean she is seeing what I've been seeing and I've been looking for pillows to try to use different postures while she annoys my buying me a wedge pillow that does exactly the same for me right in bed...

Bill5107 still having severe head pressure, bloodrushes

What can I say. Going on one week dropping my blood pressure meds altogether. after about a half a week of nasty low BP and nearly passing out while out at a store just window shopping. My BP is apparently not bad right now but several times a day, whether I'm laid out flat, sitting or whatever, my ...

Re: Bill5107, Where Are You?

Best wishes on bringing the conditions under effective treatment. Do NOT stop the Lasix (furosemide) diuretic as an attempt to raise BP, without express concurrence of the prescribing doc. True, it is used for patients with high BP, but that is to control the fluid build-up in the heart sac (perica...

Re: Bill5107, Where Are You?

Well, you're kinda like Car 57...if Car 57 was constantly backfiring and currently on a scratch & dent special :) I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you and hope you're feeling ok. I'm assuming you're not posting because you feel too lousy, and that makes me upset! I hope you wi...

Re: Bill5107 home and pain free!

Once heard a lecture by someone who dealt with severe psychiatric/emotional/physical abuse patients. HE'S COMPARING ME TO MENTAL PATIENTS AND GETTING AWAY WITH IT? And I'm both quoting him - and agreeing with him - which hasn't happened since around 2008. A serious rarity.  Lo...

Re: Bill5107 home and pain free!

Bill, having just lived through my own most (to date) excruciating trip to interventional rad Monday, PLEASE just freakin' ask, the fat is, there may be a liveable solution out there you just haven't thought of. You don't need to break yourself further! And please don't try to out think your docs o...

Bill5107 home and pain free!

Whoot! I got home shortly after noon Monday, which makes this my second and longest overnight stay in the hospital. I really didn't want to go, but boy I was glad to be there. I didn't feel like pain was directly controlled appropriately, but in the end I got what I needed and by the time it was tim...

Re: Hit-n-run Bill5107 status. . .

Well, it's late again and I'm up. . . but only for a few minutes. today was day 2 radiation on back/shoulder and day 1 for my hip. Switched to PCA so I just push the button to get my morphine now. It is working better for me now, I feel in control. There is one severe pain that doesn't seem to respo...

Re: Seeing radiologist Thursday

Bill, strong thoughts. I know summer camp is important to you, but so is pain control. But I'm sure you'll make the right choice. Thanks Gaelen. Yours is one of the voices in my head trying to keep me on the sensible path. I did call and formallly withdraw my registration today. I wasn't going to b...
