Re: Week after HIPEC

That's great news, so glad to her your mom is doing so well. My husband also had HIPEC in June and he is doing very well too. Good luck to you and your mom.

Wishing your mom the best in recovery,

They pumped him up with Benadryl among a few other drugs, now we wait to see if he can continue ch...

Re: A milestone

Hi Stacey: Congrats on the one year anniversary! And hope you have many more! Also good luck on the scan on 4/8, fingers crossed. I gotta say “mop up” chemo doesn’t sound like a bad thing. Sounds like DH should have a clean slate when done! I’m no doctor, but I’m going with that scenario. Tell DH, t...

Re: Low Platelets due to Folfox

Thanks for all the feedback, but I'm a litte confused. What numbers do they use to decide if the platelets are low? My husbands platelet count was 113, and that doen't make sense based on the numbers othere have posted.

Low Platelets due to Folfox

DH chemo was just delayed for 1 week due to low platelets. Is there anyway to keep the platelt count up on your own? Any medications? Appreciate any advice.

Thanks
Cindy

Re: It's On - update, results

SkiFletch and SMR: Thank you for your response to my message, I am new to this forum and can’t PM you or even reply to your PM. We have done extensive research on HIPEC and met with Dr. Skitzki once to discuss the surgery, but they want to wait until my husband is done with Folfox first. I was just ...

Re: It's On

Hi SkiFletch: Good luck with your test! I see from several posts that you had HIPEC at Roswell by Dr. Skitzki. My husband has 4th stage colon cancer that has metastasized to the peritoneal cavity (abdominal wall) he is on Folfox now and when that is done as long as there are no changes, he will be h...
