Re: If you want prayer stop in here!

I could use a few prayers tomorrow. At my last scan, the CT scan showed what everyone assumes to be a cyst on my ovary. The doctor didn't seemed overly concerned with it, thinking it is most likely a "functional" cyst for a woman my age, which she anticipates will go away on it's own. Howe...

Re: If you want prayer stop in here!

Love seeing the power of prayer on this board. :) Such an inspiration. God has been good to me, but like all of us here, I can always use extra prayers! Will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers during this holiday season. God bless.

Re: Food

Amy- I couldn't have said it better. Seems like everything in one way or another is causing us cancer if you look far enough! I try to buy organic when I can, but sometimes we just can't afford it. Best of luck to you with the gas! lol Fortunately that is not a battle I have had to deal with too muc...

Re: Food

By the way a good layman's book on household additives I reference is "Why There's Antifreeze in Your Toothpaste: The Chemistry of Household Ingredients". It's a nice reference based on science and not speculation/fear so if you are looking for something to help with outrage over common c...

Re: Food

Wow! Once again you all prove to be nothing short of amazing. Thank you so much for all the beneficial responses!! For me, I eat a diet that is healthy and nutritious but that is more to do with my wanting to feel that I can do something for myself to give me some more control over cancer. Obviously...

So I know this is going to seem like quite a trivial post, but it's something I've been going round and round trying to figure out on my own, and I thought I could certainly gain some useful insight from you all. What do you do in regards to your diet? There is so much hype about diets; anti-cancer ...

Re: question on post-treatment scans for stage III

My post treatment scan schedule is blood work and CT scans every 3 months for the first two years, then it goes to blood work every 3 months and CT scans every 6 months for the next two years, and then blood work every 6 months and CT scans once a year after that. I asked one of the oncologists I sa...

Re: Diagnosed with possible FAP or AFAP

Hall- I just want to say as a person new to this whole FAP ordeal, your words about your grandfather not having anymore issues in that amount of time give me great hope, that's what I'm shooting for!! As far as sleeping, unfortunately I had the same issues. I couldn't sleep for anything when I first...
