Re: What is your tumor marker (CEA)?

Well just got home from receiving my 3rd treatment of Keytruda. Tumor marker is now 121. Trying to keep calm and hopefully that it is indeed an indication that my immune system is on the attack.

Wheezing - NO Dr. can figure it out...

I've been seen by general doctor, oncologist, pulmonogist and an Ear, Nose, Throat dr. NO one can figure out what is causing a wheezing sound when I breathe. It happens deep down at the base of my neck. I've had the throat scoped and nothing shows. I've had a breathing test, and passed well. No grow...

Re: What is your tumor marker (CEA)?

Even though I should know better, I'm still nervous. It went down 10 points two months ago, then back up 10, now up 20. I'm still doing cannabis (via suppositories). I have 16 very small spots spread across both lungs, so not a candidate for surgery or radiation. They did tell me that on Keytruda th...

Re: Keytruda question

I take 100mg every three weeks. I'm NOT lynch positive and 'experimenting' basically. Not sure exactly why I'm at 100mg instead of 200mg. This is what the drug company is providing to me for free. I am not on a clinical trial.

What is your tumor marker (CEA)?

My oncologist continues to tell me not to worry but I can't help it. I'm up to 63, highest ever and since I stopped chemo a month ago and only did 1 dose of Keytruda I'm super scared.

Re: I'm starting Keytruda

So I did my treatment early. My insurance actually denied it... most likely because colon has not yet been approved... they're in the middle of doing trials. BUT, the drug manufacturer is providing it to me for FREE. We're assuming it's because they hope to use me as a success story. GOD I HOPE. Thu...

Re: I'm starting Keytruda

Is Keytruda a standard treatment option for colon cancer patients? Before I got into a clinical trial, I thought FOLFOX, FOLFIRI, IROX or the trial were my only treatment options. I hope you have an awesome response to the treatment! No it is not standard. I'm taking a huge risk as it has not been ...

Re: I'm starting Keytruda

This is excellent news!!!! I will be praying you have a good response! The only side effect I have had is a slight rash, my quality of life is greatly improved and my hair has returned as well! I have had a great amount of energy as well as appetite. My Onc said I should exercise everyday to help my...

I'm starting Keytruda

So my combo of FOLFIRI has been working at keeping my lung metastasis at bay.... but I've just been feeling SO awful. Not wanting to get out of bed or eat for four days. So much for quality of life. I talked my oncologist into trying Keytruda to give my body a break and who knows, maybe i'll do the ...

Re: Approval of cyramza for crc

Resurrecting this! I just too cyramza today in lieu of Avastin. I was VERY excited about being on an immunotherapy drug instead of another chemo. But this post definitely popped that bubble. I know it's new and we have to just 'wait and see' Problem is, we all have a worry about time. My oncologist ...

Re: Cannabis Oil

I'm still here! :) SO... I've 'found' a new method of consuming the oil at 1mg a day, and that is through a suppository. I've been doing this a few weeks, so I don't have any results, but I DO NOT GET HIGH. I am trying this due to watching this video of a girl who 'cured' her cancer by doing it this...

Vaginal narrowing - yep I said it!!

So some future advice to all of you women who were about to undergo or are undergoing radiation therapy for rectal cancer. My doctor told me there was a possibility that my canal would narrow from the effects of radiation. Well it certainly did!! I'm wondering if anyone used a vibrator or some kind ...

Re: Cannabis Oil

I highly suggest a close friend make it, if you cannot. Do NOT order online! RSO (Rick Simpson Oil - www.phoenixtears.ca) tells you how, but does not make it. Mine has 5 strains and 0 pesticide.
