Re: Another 6 months

Awesome, ain't it good to be told that you are NED for another 6 months as a stage IV patient? I was told I was boring by my oncologist which made me extremely happy. and I am waiting for you to get to the "see you in a year stage" mate

Re: SNOW DAY - in the SEATTLE area!

I just checked... it's currently 79F. This coming Sunday is my half marathon, high is supposed to be 49 with rain. 49 is good, that will keep you cool, so if you push yourself you don't need to worry about any heat. Rain, um, I actually like running in the rain, but it can get annoyi...

Re: Any younger men post rectal surgery?

I'd just think of the bigger picture. It would be nice to have a great libido, but hard to use it if you are not able to address the cancer. Stage I sounds great, but what about the cancer in your transverse. Deal with that as you are. I had a LAR in Jan 2012 and then VATS (lung resection) in FEB 20...

Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

Peanut, I think I posted in another thread but I moved recently (that has been a positive and negative experience in itself which I should start another thread on). However we went from a 2 bedroom apartment (about 970 square feet) to a 3 bedroom house (about 2050 square feet). He has his own room w...

Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

Now that photo got my attention, pets. No one loves them more than the owner. Here is a photo of my cat doing what he does best and sleep. http://i64.tinypic.com/es530l.jpg I tend to think that whilst I don't post as much as I did, that when I posted I shared my life, what was happening, and tried t...

Re: Can you go on like normal

Hello Trying, You are in a challenging place. However how you handle that is totally up to you. I too struggled with similar emotions, which I found hard to process. I was loosing the battle, and then I talked to someone on this site that I exchanged many PM with and he was in a much worse situation...

Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

Hey Peanut what’s that big knife for ?? I have spent the day feeding a little squirrel that is playing in my garden . A new neighbour has a new hobby . Killing them . So I have been busy quietly feeding it so it does not cross the road . My youngest son loves them . Ha Stu It's a 150 mm Japanese ca...

Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

I posted elsewhere to say that I moved from a unit (apartment) to a house recently, and it has been a slight adjustment from living in apartments for 20 odd years. There is a lot of outside work and maintenance, and lots of interaction with Mother nature. I recently came across 2 European Wasp nests...

Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

Peanut loved that picture of the sunset. Pretty awesome and I can think of worse things to look at of an evening. Sydney loves to put on fireworks on NYE, and this was was a bit of a damper.....huge thunderstorms from 5PM - 8PM. Then I went to a pub across the road (like about 50 yards across the ro...

Re: BrownBagger ....... I don't know what to say

I did some cleaning on NYE, I took my hard copy printed scans that I got at dx (ok I still have the soft copies), and my wife and I shredded them together at work. Time to put cancer behind me, to move on and start a new stage of our lives. Finish the 5 years and start 2019 afresh. I went out for a ...

Re: Stage IV, 26 weeks pregnant, Merry Christmas!

I’m impressed that you’re doing a 1/2 whilst that much pregnant :D running whilst in Chemo is doable but let’s assume you go on FOLFOX, in which case the issue will be the OX (oxaliplatin) as it has cumulative neaurapthy effects. For me that made running hard as at one point my feet got painful befo...

Currently not on any treatment.
Let's hope you can be in that place too.
