Re: How do you decide to stop treatment?

Hello everyone, I can share some of our experience with Terry at the end. I'll start off after her last surgery in January. When mom and I went to her Dr. appointment for her scan results and found out it was in her neck, nose, lungs and liver, we all new that was it. The Dr. said she needed to star...

Terry Update 6/21/12

This is Terrys daughters, and we just wanted to post an update. Our mom is coming home today from the hospital. Hospice is bringing her a hospital bed, to make her more comfortable. They have her pain controlled with morphine and a phentynol patch. She is confused, and a little goofy from all the me...

Re: 5 years ago today!!

So so happy for you Jaynee! In August it will be five years since we met (so to speak online). When you come here to visit next month I'll take you to Waubee Lodge and you and I will celebrate your five year mark. Heck, maybe we'll even be able to celebrate something good for me. CONGRATULATIONS:)!!...

Re: Surprised myself...guilt anyone?

We all have a time when it's our time. Don't feel guilty, it's just not your time yet. She may be in a much better place than we are right now also. A place with only love, no pain, no hunger, no anger, only beauty. Sounds like a place I want to be at some day. It's us left behind that feel the loss...

LOL Lee, I know exactly what boards your speaking of and I have been suspended also;) It's nice to hear that you think so highly of this group. It's a shame you can't get the information your looking for for your mom without feeling like your pulling teeth. My youngest daughter has been on some of t...

Re: Pete is in Heaven

I'm so sorry for the loss you and your children are having to endure, but happy to know Pete is not suffering any longer. I can see from your post and your previous posts that you were ready (as ready as one can be) when the time came because of your love for him and not wanting him in pain. You hav...

Re: Choosing to live or die....

I always tell people, making all the decisions we have to make is hardest thing about this disease (as well as other diseases).

I just pray I will know when the time comes to stop fighting. I did get my DNR so if my heart stops my fam has it here and we don't have to needlessly go through that.

UPDATE on radiation

Hi everyone! Jaynee thought I should come on and and let you know how I am and how radiation is going. First of all radiation is doing well. My rad. onc. says the tumor looks more like scar tissue than a tumor these days. One reason I haven't been on is because I keep fall asleep. I started writing ...

Re: Prayers for my DH Pete today also

Oh Ilse I'm so sorry your going through this. I need to stop being so self absorbed in my stuff and should have known this, I'm sorry for not seeing it on FB and not being on here enough. You have been such a blessing to your DH Pete, you wouldn't have been better if you were a nurse. Being a nurse ...

I really like the "running rings around URanus for colon cancer":) Very good:)

Yes, let's not blame anyone for their disease, although I don't think that's what the OP meant.

Re: Brainstorming Time

I think to really have people ask you questions and take second looks it's going to have to be funny and it's going to have to do with butts. JMO, but that's what attracts people. It actually does effect many peoples butts anyway. Some of us can't use ours in the normal way. I really liked Tammylane...
