Re: Colonoscopy this afternoon

OMG I had mine yesterday, my 3rd one. I had clear liquids for 2 days and the prep the night before. 3 bottles of magnesium citrate. I thought I would die! I didn't drink the 3rd bottle. I was supposed to drink at 6pm, 8pm, and 10pm with 24 oz of water after each bottle. By the time I started the 2nd...

Re: Social Security Disability Taken Away

Thank you everyone for your responses. I do have a Dr appt with my general MD in 2 weeks. I think I have made the mistake of not telling Dr anything, I am not a complainer and don't like to take meds so I just say everything is fine. I am going to tell him everything that is wrong and see if he can ...

Re: Social Security Disability Taken Away

Hey Teachpdx - thanks for your response. Did SS send you a letter and say you were medically improved and discontinue your benefits and you had to appeal? Did you have a dr back up all of your health issues? I did file for an appeal but don't know what is needed when I go to appt. I don't know if th...

Re: Social Security Disability Taken Away

Thanks everyone for your replies. I know there has to be someone on this board that has been through this and can tell me their experience. I went to the ER on Mother's Day morning with abdominal pain and they did a CT, well the results showed possible kidney/ureters cancer, does this ever end!

Social Security Disability Taken Away

I am Stage IV Colorectal Cancer, I have been NED for almost 4 years, so grateful for that. I still have bathroom problems (about 20 times a day), diarrhea unexpectedly, and neuropathy in feet and hands. In December I received a letter from Social Security saying I was being evaluated, I filled in th...

Re: SS Disability

Thanks for your reply Teachpdx, I was just surprised getting it in the mail. I just got another statement last week saying they will be contacting all my medical providers. What will they say?? She is NED, will that change things? NED doesn't mean forever as we all know!

SS Disability

I am stage IV Colon Cancer patient and on SS Disability since October 2012. I have just received a letter from them in December that my disability is under review on continuing or not. I thought stage IV is automatically disability. Has anyone been through this? They need a list of all my Drs and pr...

Re: CRC with one small liver met, low CEA

I am also one that had only 1 single liver met. I had 1 single surgery to remove rectal tumor & liver tumor and 12/23 lymph nodes. That was April 2012. I am now 3 3/4 years and still NED. I did 6 months of Folfox also. That was definately the hardest part. My CEA starting was 52 and has been und...

Re: Divine Healing

The title doesn't bother me, I just want to respond. It's open to everyone once it is out there. I also don't believe "mud was thrown at her" because of a difference of opinion. Just my opinion.

Re: Divine Healing

Why do people get pissed if someone has a different opinion from this "Divine Healing" and we shouldn't open the thread if we disagree. That's a bunch of crap. If it was divine healing then you wouldn't have surgery or chemo. Why are some stage IVs - NED and some not, I don't think God is ...

Re: Not feeling well

Gosh, why the long wait. I had colonoscopy on a Tuesday, met with oncologist the next day and he called radiologist on his personal phone and had an appointment next day, also a CT. I would have gone crazy waiting 7 & 1/2 weeks! So sorry you are going through this. :(

Re: Blood Test - Liver Function

Hi Leon - So happy you are NED! I have had the same liver problems. My stage IV cancer went to my liver. About 18 months after surgery my ALT & AST started rising, first in the high 40s then 50s, I had my blood checked every 2-3 months. My CTs always showed fatty liver and my oncologist said tha...

Kenny-
No need to apologize for just being you! Everyone is different and we will all never agree, but that's what makes us people. Keep posting or I'm gone from here! :D

I say sell it, donation comes second and family comes first.
