Re: some general whining

If we can't listen to a little whining from members then what's our purpose? I sorta understand your predicament but from a different angle. I live with my parents who are 77 and 78. My mother has been my rock. She's not in great shape but good for her age. I can see her deteriorating mentally. If n...

Re: News from Dr appt

For some reason I've developed edema during the last 2 weeks. Mostly in my feet and legs. Was put on 80 mg X 3 daily of Lasix yesterday. Pissing myself to death. This hip and leg pain do not agree with having to go to bathroom every 30 min. I use a urinal at night but still have to get up.

Re: News from Dr appt

I always heard thoracenthesis was very painful. For me it was not. The site was shot with lidocaine and the needle was in and out before I knew it. I was trying to remain still because of the needle. The nurse said "Don't worry, the guide wire is all that's there." I was in and out of the ...

Re: ascites

Exercise helps too. I've been dealing with pain in hips and legs. Haven't been getting enough exercise. My ankles are swelling quite a bit and I take 40 mg Lasix daily. I'm with VOXX. Not changing my eating habits very much.

Re: What to drink? Everything tastes metallic

Ginger Ale was tolerable. I probably drank Gatorade more than anything. As far as food, salty foods tasted more normal. Spicy not good.

If you are still on Vectibix try antibiotics for the rash. It cleared mine up. I took Keflex.

Re: Side effects

I didn't but I believe that is one of the possible side effects. You need to call oncologist or nurse immediately. The eyes are something you don't want to take a chance with.

Re: Day 1 FOLFOX with throat issues.

My first treatment I went directly from it to McDonald's. Wouldn't you know the first thing I did was take a big swig of Coke. The sensitivity was already there. Didn't make that mistake again.

Re: Potassium

When I was having to take the horse pills daily in rehab they started giving them to me in applesauce. And yes if not swallowed quickly they start dissolving.
