Re: CT new findings

My onc has my most recent scans. I have great health care, I don't believe that's the issue. I think she isn't aggressive because when she took me as a pt I had already "won" the battle and she never treated me for the actual thing. She never witnessed my pain and suffering and doesn't hav...

Re: CT new findings

Hello and thank you for your replies. My oncologist doesn't seem to be concerned about it. Then again she wasn't the one who treated me for my cancer. On the other hand, my surgeon and GI doc are concerned. They have been seeing me since my diagnosis. My GI spoke with my onc and pressed the issue an...

CT new findings

Hello. It's been almost 2 years since I was declared cancer free. I've been keeping up with all follow up appointments with my oncologist , colorectal surgeon and GI doc. I' have also had a PET/CT, after surgery sometime in 2012, and a CT scan sometime last year. Both results came back negative. In ...

Re: Obstruction!

I'm glad the obstruction resolved on its own:) I have a concern myself. On Tuesday early morning I began to have this awful wave like pain (10/10 pain) in my stomach. It lasted for two days and subsided on its own This afternoon. I was really concerned and was thinking it might be an obstruction but...

Re: Pain in the rear

Ever since my resection I've had this aweful pain on my bottom. It's worse when I get up from sitting down. I have no idea why it hurts so bad. I thought it would go away but it hasn't.
You should call your onc and voice your concern. I'll do the same so keep us posted.

Re: UPMC - Pittsburgh

My father had liver cancer. When he was diagnosed he had a resection and pathology showed NED, three yrs later it came back. Onc gave him 2 months. Well my dad received chemo imbolization. I guess this is when they put in a port and administer the chemo directly into the rumors. He would go like onc...

Re: Medical marijuana

Nausea is back :( Hanna- I stopped cold turkey because I felt like my body was becoming dependent on it. I didn't stop while on treatment though, I stopped about 3 weeks after. My onc said that was ok. I only took the narcs when it was definitely necessary. If my new inc is willing to Rx more marino...

Re: Medical marijuana

I just popped 2-5mg of marinol. Been nauseated since yesterday and the Zofran is of no help. I'm seriously considering MMJ. I'll call my onc today to see what he says. The only problem is the $ situation, I hope it's not too expensive. Oh wait! There is another problem...my husband lol. Like Katheri...

Just venting

I feel like I'm in this alone. Yes I have a husband, my mother, brother and friends. They all have been there for me but yet I still feel like I'm in this alone. Is it because I'm the one with the cancer and none of them can really empathize with me? I mean really, none of them have the slightest cl...

Re: 23 years old.. possible colon cancer, need help!

Please do get that colonoscopy. I was 34 when I was diagnosed earlier this year. I was admitted to the hospital for left lower quadrant pain. In ER doc sent me for a CT scan with oral, IV and rectal contrast...results came back normal. Doc wasn't happy with results so I was admitted. I was there 3 d...
