Re: WEED.

Its not legal in Texas but I don't care. Stage 3b rectal with oxaliplatin chemo induced autonomic neuropathy with gastroparesis (incurable). I stay nauseous & vomiting and have permanent neuropathy from chemo. I have to smoke every day or I have to take phenegren to stop the vomiting. My Dr know...

Re: Cannabis Oil group

Not sure if this is the right place but here goes... I started smoking while going thru rad/chemo, surgeries, more chemo and then ileostomy reversal. They removed three ft from the entire rectum & sigmoid & up. A year after chemo I still have chemo induced autonomic neuropathy. In the last 6...

Re: My mom has stage 4 colon cancer

I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I am a widowed mother of a 15 year old. She is my reason for fighting. I was diagnosed 10/12 with T3n1m0 = stage IIIb. When I didn't feel like eating I'd drink a carnation instant breakfast x2. Gave me more good stuff than ensure (chocolates the best) when the col s...

Re: not a fan of the "new normal"

Yes. So much yes. Cotton candy is my drug of choice. Im crippled with self doubt and social anxiety, I actively avoid mixing in the staffroom, socialising, etc. I have little confidence in myself and often feel unhappy and dissatisfied with life. I thought i breezed through the cancer experiencem, b...

Re: Precancerous polyp during 1yr anniversary

I'm not concerned with the number of tests, it's the fact that they found a polyp not 6 months after my last chemo. Am I right to be concerned about finding one that developed while on chemo? I had/have the invasive, moderately-differentiated adenocarcinoma, which I've heard is bad and based on my s...

Precancerous polyp during 1yr anniversary

The title says it all. During my 1 year colonoscopy they found two polyps, one precancerous. Now logic tells me that this friggin thing developed while on frickin chemo that almost killed me. So has anyone had that happen? Because of this they already "watching me closer".

Re: TNM staging confused?????

First... Breathe.... http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/2006674-overview My staging is equal to IIIb. Chemo sucks. Plain & simple. Drink lots of water, don't eat while receiving infusion or after. Eat before. Don't plan on doing anything but go home and sleep. I got neuropathy really bad and ...

Re: doc suggestions at MDA?

I would recommend MDA for sure. Dr You is my GI oncology surgeon. She's doing studies regarding colorectal cancer showing up in younger people. She is great and answers all my questions. I can suggest MDA because I've had 4 people in my family with cancer in various forms. My niece & I are the o...

Re: Surviving radiation for rectal cancer

I feel your pain. Literally! I went thru the razor/broken glass poops and it was horrible. I begged for something to numb it as the bidet attachment and suppositories didn't work. They told me that the numbing creams they had had alcohol in them & would dry the skin worse. :( I literally cried w...

Re: 8 months post ileostomy reversal 6 month check up

Hi I'm pre-reversal and worried about it. When you say the beginning was difficult what do you mean? Can you be more specific? We're adults here. I just want to be fully aware of what is to come. I've got 3 more chemo treatments then CT at the end of July.

Re: When might my no rectum stop hurting?

My surgery was 2/14. I'm still having rectal pain and I'm pre reversal so there's no reason why it should hurt. It's a nagging toothache with intermittent stabbing pains and all they can do is tell me "sitz baths". I'm tired of the pain. Anbesol or any 20% benzocaine helps but doesn't last...

Re: Fatigue or depression?

Thank you all. I thought something was wrong with me. Glad to know I'm not alone. I do have some good days prior to my chemo. And yes after I get disconnected from my pump is the worst. All I do is sleep and take one of my antinausea meds for about three days to a week after. Thanks for all the advi...

Fatigue or depression?

So I'm post resection and undergoing chemo oxaliplaten and 5fu every two weeks. My butthole hurts and I don't know why making it hard to sit or walk for any length of time will send straight back to bed on my back. I'm constantly tired. I can sleep 18 out of 24 hours. It's a chore to even dress myse...
