Wow...Her pathology report is exactly like mine. I had chemo but I was much younger. I was told the cancer is gone..we removed it...chemo was just a mop up. 85 year olds don't need to be mopped up. Hopefully it was a slow grower.

First round of Chemo? If she's having side effects these can be managed. SHe should call her Doctor or Chemo Nurse and Let then known. They can give so many things for nausea which really makes a difference. I know you are mad but you need to take that energy to be an advocate. I constantly needed m...

I miss Eric too!! He was down to earth and talked us all through every hurdle we had. I remember when he got his first results of being stag 2 to 4 and his first VATS. I'll alway remember and laugh at his picture of his soy bean garden. His life on earth truely did so much for us all

So nice to read about an old friend who is doing well. We've lost so many and glad to hear everything is well with you. Never give up when a doctor closes a door....look for the next one.

Lots of fluids and you will feel better. Also talk to your oncologist...they might need to lower the dose a bit. I had my bolus of 5fu reduced before the pump dose. That helped a lot.

I was stage 3 and I remember my surgeon saying he was glad because if I was stage 2 he would have to fight for me to have chemo. With the higher risk factors Chemo is probably in your future more than not. Once you have the resection and all cancer is removed the chemo is " Mop up " for an...
