Re: Low white blood cells

I have low WBC and platelets - i often miss chemo..... Onc and nurses have told me there is nothing nutritional that can be done to raise those numbers ~ the injection is your best bet. I didn't want the shot - (side effects and painful!) and my doc has wanted my body to do the work of raising the n...

Debbi, I'm on chemo for life - it's ok, I still have a good life! I've been on chemo for 1.5 years, with occasional breaks - actually my life is busier and more meaningful than it used to be. I don't put things off - if I can I get em done! Last month I stayed at a big cat sanctuary, also went cavin...

It's great to see pics of people - I always thought of you as some wild haired dude riding his bike.....
Love the 'real' pics and the fact that you had a great trip to Finland! Keep on keeping on :)

Re: The "nag" factor

Hi Cherie, the Mail is renowned for its scaremongering from the depths of ignorance. That's why I and those with half a brain don't read it! Even my PT has started emailing health and fitness rubbish from this 'newspaper' ( I use the term loosely!) so he'll have to go....... I so agree Sarah! At on...

Re: I love you all....Movie Review

You should read if at all possible, "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green. It's a young adult novel about first loves and cancer. It's brilliant, and will be coming out as a film in the near future.....

Re: I love you all....Movie Review

I just watched the Life of Pi. Yes, it was sad - I cried when the hyena killed the zebra, and when Pi fed the rat to the tiger!
But amongst the tears, I really enjoyed the movie - great writing, how did someone come up with this storyline?!
