Re: Grape seed extract (a dose of good news)

Thanks, Maia. This is the second article recently talking about antioxidants and CRC. I always thought I was supposed to increase them. Now, who knows? Anyway, if I read correctly, these results were not in vivo, but can't see why I might not want to add a bit of GSE to my cocktail. Anybody using it?

CR and PR: complete and partial response.
Sorry.
Low tumor load - like it sounds, not too many tumors, not too big. Or, the cancer hasn't gotten too much traction...

I am so sorry for your loss. Lori was a bright star here in the forum and her posts always meant a lot to me. Losing a child is not supposed to happen.

Re: EVERYTHING AGAINST CANCER....CHANGE YOUR OWN BLOOD.

I am not a conspiracy theorist, yet I am frustrated at the funding process for most research. Like Fede says, it is mainly financially driven. That said, I do not believe anyone is sitting on a cure just trying to make money. What I love about Fede's posts are his willingness to just brainstorm, to ...

Re: An Update from the Traveler - Done with Chemo - YAY!

Good job getting through the chemo, Traveler! That's a boatload of surgery you have in store, but they wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't potentially curative, I'm guessing. Thanks for the update and the report on MDA. Get strong!

I will also have her sleeping in the corner while hooked to the chemo pump so it doesn't accidently get jerked out! This is going to be a new thing for all of us, including the dog! I wore my chemo buddy under jammies so that all the tubing was where my dog couldn't get tangled up in it... I've had...

Re: I'm starting an immunotherapy trial...

Can you give us more info as to where and how often, etc. Thanks. Gloria Sure. It is only at one site, I guess because it is phase 1, and that is Mary Crowley in Dallas. They have another cancer vaccine, FANG, that has had some super results for ovarian cancer. It has just been opened up to CRC fol...

I'm starting an immunotherapy trial...

I've started a phase 1 clinical trial for a cancer vaccine drug. I like this trial because I am hopeful that immunotherapy is a way forward to a better maintenance program than chemo, although the drug company is hoping for a cure, I guess. Another thing I like is that it is a second generation drug...

I'm thrilled to read your results! As another who is choosing the immunotherapy route, I read that tumor shrinkage you report as very good indeed! Thanks for letting everyone know! I'll post about the trial I just started later today after I get Christmas presents mailed!

Re: No chemo today...Rant!

Y'know, after reading the other responses, I am changing my mind. They should have told you when you called if there would be a point at which it would be too late to come. And when you came, they could have been nice even if they weren't going to do your chemo. Someone made the point that we patien...

Re: No chemo today...Rant!

Ouch. Okay, you said "give it to me straight." Being late is understandable, especially since you called, but the center shouldn't be expected to stay open late, inconvenience nurses, and incur extra cost in order to facilitate your job. JMO. I wasn't going to weigh in since I'm pretty new...

Re: nobody talks to me

Thanks to everyone who posted their stories on this thread. I have really been having a hard time with this for years and have just recently decided to no longer be the one who keeps contact with friends and family. Those that come around -- great! Those that don't -- well, it's hard to release them...
