Re: Someone posted all on a subject I wrote about to the net

I don't know how it works, but I think google takes keywords and searches everywhere and must have just picked it up. You can change your profile so no one can know who you are. I can't tell who you are from your current name though. I have found some of my own posts through Google too. I think I in...

Re: Stuart Scott Speech at ESPYs

Very touching. I was very emotional watching it as was my husband. I think it is worthwhile and it is a good reminder. A lot of the video leading up to his speech will be familiar to those who are on the journey or their family members. The wait in the exam room was a good idea of what it is like. N...

Re: next step - maintenance chemo??

Can you consult with Dr. Lowy down in San Diego? He does HIPEC and is amazing. He is conservative in his approach and wants to be sure he can resect before he will do surgery (doing a laparascopy in outpatient procedure), but I believe in him even though my husband had a recurrence. Dr. Lowy really ...

Fast tracked drug for leukemia. When will it be CRC?

http://news.yahoo.com/us-regulators-fas ... 03303.html

This sounds promising for immunotherapy in general. Any news on CRC breakthroughs? They say in the article that there are similar approaches being worked on for other cancers, but CRC wasn't mentioned.

Re: Some aggressive cancers may respond to anti-inflammatory

Which drugs fall under this category? I think I read that Celebrex is used in that ADAPT therapy. Is that the same type of theory? It seems to me that many of these drugs aren't harmful so why not try them? A lot of times the oncs don't even know about the stuff others are studying. I wish there wer...

Re: Ashlee update

I felt sick reading this. Love and peace & light to you Ashlee. I feel especially heartbroken because I know Ashlee had a one year period that she could take for long term care and just enjoy living her life. I hate you cancer for robbing her of that extra joy. I often think that if God wants to...

Re: Different therapies for liver mets

Lisa, I don't know too much about this. You have been through the ringer lately. F cancer man! I do know there is this organization names Beat Liver Tumors that should have lots of information. Of course you have our in house members who have first hand info that will surely chime in soon. I think V...

Re: About to file for SSDI, coming to terms with what is ahe

Alan, Your employer should be able to help you with your LTD plan. You do have one and it will pay a lot more than SSD would which should make your affording insurance better. You gave so many years to this job and they should be able to help with this process. Your doctors can help too and maybe if...

Re: measles vaccine

I read this the other day and meant to post on it. I think it was a different source, but still, cool as can be. This one targeted circulating tumors I think. Advancements can't come soon enough for me. I hope we have more thinkers out there going into science with new perspective. The young generat...

Re: Lysis of adhesions next week?

Hapa, Do you have a plan in place yet for your husband? I was sure happy to read he is still NED, but of course it is alarming how much trouble adhesions can cause. Can you tell me what they told you about the CT scan? Can they localize it? What can they see in these scans? We are having a similar p...

Val Pal, Thank you for your reply. My week has been crazy as usual with our two kiddos and work and helping Mark where he needs me. I wanted to express my sympathy at what you have been going through with your dear husband. I wish you the best and truly hope he can gain some weight so he feels stron...
