Question about polyps

Hello, As you can see per my signature I was diagnosed with rectal cancer in 2012. I had a clear colonoscopy in May 2013 and then in June of 2016 during the colonoscopy they found (& removed) 3 pieces of adenomatous colonic mucosa and 3 pieces of colonic mucosa with no significant histopathologi...

Re: Venting !!

Mine has actually gotten worse. I also have a lot of lower back pain which the DR said "could" have been exasperated by the radiation. Luckily no menopause for me though.

Re: 2nd colonoscopy since DX

No she didn't give me any thing other than "some polyps". I have an appt on the 21st so keeping positive until then. Glad yours turned out benign!

2nd colonoscopy since DX

I had my one year follow-up May 2013 which was totally clear. I just had my 2nd since and this time they said there was polyps which they took for biopsy and also some tissue from small intestine and stomach. So now just a wait and see.

Re: Colonoscopy booked

Good luck w/your colonoscopy! Mine is June 30th for my 3 yr follow-up and I have to do the dreaded Golytly so I hope whatever they give you is better than that and easier to handle.

Re: Cyclical Fatigue

I have the same issue, tired as heck all the time. I have talked to Dr's and they keep saying Iron. I keep taking Iron, Folbic (Folic Acid + B's) and nothing is any different. Nobody understands and they just don't get it. I am also alone and do most everything on my own.

Re: strange lymph node

That's pretty much the same thing my DR. said. I have multiple lymph nodes that are enlarged and have uptake in the PET Scan. When they did a biopsy of the largest one it came back negative. Now he said it is just a wait and see what happens. He is going to do a CT in 6 months.

Re: Dogs/chemo? Accident prone during chemo?

I still have chemo brain. I have managed to cause my garage door and car to meet twice and hit a parking pole 1 since chemo. Very expensive boo boos. I never really attributed it to the chemo but after reading all the posts I think that may be the culprit. I have tried to slow down and pay extra att...

Re: Is this normal???

It has been a little over 3 years since chemo/radiation, started having lower back pain about a year and 1/2 ago finally got referred to pain management who is going to do a procedure to hopefully relieve some of the pain. She did say it was mostly likely either caused or exacerbated by the radiatio...

Re: Question about constipation

I take 3 stool softeners w/stimulant daily. I still go between constipated and at least once a week running to the bathroom and barely (or not) making it in time. I was always very constipated before I started having symptoms and could hold it if I was not at home (yes I had an issue with going in p...

Re: Checking in.....STILL here, question for NED'ers

I still have problems also. Constantly going between constipated and having accidents. I never know what kind of day/hour it is going to be. I take 3 stool softeners a day just so I can go at all and then it is usually 6 or 7 trips to the bathroom and at least once a week an accident or near acciden...

I had a couple lymph node biopsy, on one they kinda put me out so I definately didn't feel anything. The 2nd time they just numbed the area and still felt very minor pain.

Re: Melanoma and colon cancer

I had a small spot on my lower back that came back as basil cell, and to tell you the truth I am not sure if I have ever even mentioned to my dermatologist about having Rectal Cancer.
