Re: New here. Bleeding from bum

Great. Best wishes on solving the rest and I suppose you don't need to fret about prep night for another 10 years or so, right?? :D

Re: Will they still do my colonoscopy?

Well, I'm not in a position to actually offer advice other than: DO talk to the doctor .... you can call the doctor on call this afternoon/this evening AND since I assume you will be prepping anyway you can also speak to the doctor just prior to the procedure with any and all concerns that you may h...

Re: Colonoscopy prep question

1. Leave a ms at dr office for them to call you explain when scope is. 2. Call the facility where the scope will be done and talk to an endoscopy nurse and let them know u r trying to check with your dr's office. 3. I can also personally recommend the efficacy of Miralax /Gatorade /Dulcolax. I know ...

Re: How young is too young for COLONOSCOPY

I too was going to mention FAP. I once met someone who told me a colonoscopy at a young age saved her life because some time in her pre teen years (I forgot her exact age - maybe 12-15) she had bleeding and was diagnosed with FAP and that was the first time I had heard of it. Of course it might be n...

Re: A survivor information...?

Thank you.
Guess I could have done the same, but for some reason didn't. :)

A survivor information...?

I was just reading some messages I wrote back in 2012 and there was a 25 year plus CRC survivor I spoke with, Randy Henniger.
Anybody know which organization he's associated with? I can't remember. Thanks,
Deann

Re: peppermint tea on prep day

Prep worked well.
Scope went well - hemorrhoids and he took out a few polyps out and he'll go over things at a future office visit.

Re: peppermint tea on prep day

Never got the tea, anyway.
The prep just started to work but I feel like it is going to be an awfully long night.
I don't recall it taking this long to work last time.
Well....things will pick up soon, I guess. :D

peppermint tea on prep day

For colonoscopy prep day, a little peppermint tea (I found a tea bag at Starbucks that has peppermint, spearmint, and lemon verbena) seems nice. It isn't on any list of drinks I've seen, but I can't think of a reason it wouldn't be allowed - tea bag so no leaves, and it's not the wrong color. No caf...

Re: private message question.

As long as you are on here, may I say that was such an informative post you did up there on your situation and the ostomy question. A colleague of mine was going thru colon cancer with his wife some years back and I gave away a good book on dealing with many of these possibilities. This site is so g...

Re: private message question.

Ok...... thank you, Lee. I was wondering if something wasn't working with my account, though, because it doesn't say my name online when I am on the board, for some reason. Maybe it's all good, anyhow. CR guy, I PM'd you with the same question (how do these PM's work) but then I thought maybe they w...

private message question.

Hi,
If private messages are in my 'outbox' does that mean they were sent but the person hasn't read them?
Or, does it mean they were not sent?
Thanks..... I thought they were also in my sent box but I do not think they are now last time i looked, just the outbox.

Re: split prep question for scope ....

Thanks for the answers. I had another GI at first this time who was going to have me do go lytely which I've never done. But because I got propofol last time and want it this time, and the golytely using doctor didn't offer propofol, I'm returning to my original doc who will do propofol and who does...
