Re: Folfiri and Nausea HELP PLEASE

Some really good suggestions here. I tried just about everything, too, on the first chemo, and had a really tough time. Finally, my onc recommended acupuncture, and it has worked so well that i have continued going for all of my cancer and chemo problems. I continued to use Emend 3 day pack, Zofran ...

Re: How do you tell someone to "Get F@#!ed" politely?

Just a thought for all of us ... remember the saying, 'funerals are for the living' ? I am of two minds about this. I certainly don't want anyone in my middle class family to pay for a funeral, as they would be inclined to do. I am not a Christian, and I would be appalled at the thought of a Christi...

Re: Final Regorafenib update

KarMel, I am so so sorry it didn't work for you. I guess I need to find the energy to post my experience with the trial. so far, no reactions to the drug itself, but each day I'm in more pain, so I don't know if it is working for me either ( I really don't want to be negative but it's very hard to b...

Re: Any stage IV considered delaying chemo?

Bless your heart, Pam for posting what I HOPE are shared feelings and thoughts of others on this board.AND for actually responding to her request for other people's experiences , not so much their opinion of what she should or shouldn't do. Thank you. Do I feel a firestorm brewing. I would hope that...

Re: How do you keep pretending...

Dear Patti, I, too, sobbed as I read your post, as I believe that you expressed yourself so deeply, and although saying what I'm about to say probably won't make you feel any better, I don't think I've ever read a more poignant and direct to my heart essay about how it is to live with the disease an...

Re: Xeloda and dying your hair

My onc advised against it , just for the damaging effect to already chemically damaged (chemo) hair. I complied. I then spoke with my onc. Nurse Practitioner about it and she laughed and said that everyone does it (dyes their hair anyway) but denies it! I thought that was hilarious. I now have my ha...

Re: Regorafenib week 5

Hi Karmel, I have attempted to send two PMs to you in the last 36 hours. Is it possible that you have your member settings to not receive PMs? If so, I respect that. I only wanted to converse with you privately to discuss the clinical trial and questions I have for someone who is four weeks ahead of...

Re: Regorafenib week 5

To LAS, The Regnifenab clinical trial is a STAGE IIIC study which means that everyone in this phase of the clinical trial are ALL getting the research drug. This particular trial has a GOAL, I believe they call it, ENDPOINT, to establish the safety of the drug and is usually the last phase required ...

Go in peace, dear Gaelen. If there is 'another side' I truly hope to meet you there and have many spirited and loving conversations. I know you may perceive this as much too intimate from a stranger, but I truly mean it. You are loved by so many

I also have peritoneal mets, but they have Not responded to any of the mCRC chemo regimens. He said the short answer as to whether...

Re: Regorafenib in the news......

Jorusi63, Like my fluke, openings can occur at any time. What I would do is write an email to the closest clinical trial and see if you can be put on a list. VERY IMPORTANT, write a BRIEF, emphasis added history of your husband's cancer treatment , including his current circumstances. Good Luck! :sh...
