Re: My mom died today

Sincere, sincere condolences. This must be the most difficult time for you. I hope you're surrounded by your near and dear ones to help each other through this time.

Re: Difficult time

Not off base, at all. Rob, you specifically, took time to write to me a few times when we wondered about SBRT for my dad (I still have pipe dreams of it being an option one day!). The ups, the downs, the education, the support...I'm grateful for the whole lot and will weather the downs as they come.

Re: Vectibix started how long

The rash seems like the most prevalent side effect, but what about diarrhea? My dad just got his first Vectibix infusion today, and he has already lost so much weight from previous treatments and bowel issues. Has anyone experienced severe diarrhea on Vectibix?

Re: Degenerative Disc and chemo?

Thanks for everyone's input. Beyond pain meds, it doesn't look like they will offer him anything else for management. Hard to see him in all of this pain, among other symptoms.

Degenerative Disc and chemo?

Hi all, Unusual question, but does anyone know of any connection bw chemo and a degenerative disc? My father completed Folfiri and Avastin in Oct and shortly thereafter, he has complained of neck pain that has become quite debilitating. An X-ray and bone scan point to a degenerative disc, but it cam...

Re: STAR Ablation RFA awareness

This sounds so promising and so uplifting when things look really gloomy and QoL is at stake.

I tried googling availability in Canada. No luck. Anyone know?

Re: Adjusting is tough

I'll bet if you're really still, you can hear your dad saying "Good Luck!" I know I hear my dad saying that in my ear when something hard is coming up for me. I'm praying your nerves don't start up and that you're calm for the test. God bless ~ Guinevere I was going to offer the same thin...

Re: Bad news about my my Lymphoma'd husband

Crappy news, Bev. Very sorry. Am I the only who feels like it would just be nice for everyone in our lives to be healthy and well? It's like waiting for the other shoe to drop...constantly.

Very best thoughts to you and hubby.

Re: Able to eat again

So glad you're on the upswing again. I know that you have endured a lot of treatment, so for you to say that this wiped you is saying something! Hope your strength comes back soon and you're able to enjoy the holiday season with the family!
